It was once again the Grove/Roth show as CB South defeated CR South in straight sets 25-11, 25-19, 25-15. Outside hitter Ben Grove led all players with 13 kills, 5 aces and some truly convincing and powerful hitting. Gavin Roth was seemingly everywhere tonight. He had another outstanding game setting, blocking and defensively. Gavin is really turning into a leader on the court. He ended the night with 21 assists, 8 digs and 3 key blocks. As always our middles were the big reliable influence we needed on the floor. William Nothum had 10 kills and Brody Cocca 8. They also both had a solid night blocking."Things really seem to be clicking. I believe there is still a chance for us to get into the playoffs even after our very rough start to the season. The boys really seem to want it." Sophomore Jake Wullert made his varsity debut and notched his first kill. He also served very well. He earned the opportunity with a lot of hard work and great play for the JV this season. CB South will play away at North Penn on Thursday.
