MEN’S BASKETBALL

Niagara junior Tyrone Lewis (Harry S. Truman) was named to the MAAC All-Tournament team.  Lewis scored a game-high 22 points and also contributed four assists and three rebounds in Niagara’s 77-70 loss to Sienna in the title game. In the tournament semifinal against Rider, Lewis buried a desperation 30-footer at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime. The Purple Eagles earned a 93-89 win in double overtime. Lewis, the Purple Eagles’ leading scorer, finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Redshirt freshman Nicole Pender (Cheltenham) shared team scoring honors with 15 points in Mansfield’s 75-63 loss to Bloomsburg on Wednesday night.
FIELD HOCKEY
East Stroudsburg sophomore Jennifer Mullen (Hatboro-Horsham) was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad, which recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2008-09 academic year.
MEN’S LACROSSE
Freshman Johnny Casey (Abington) scored a goal for Widener in its 7-5 loss at Kean on Tuesday.
TENNIS
Freshman Dan Lee (Abington) earned a 6-4, 6-3 win over Thomas Whaling in the College of New Jersey’s 6-3 win over 23rd ranked Christopher Newport University on Wednesday. Ranked 29th in Division III, TCNJ has now won four of their last five matches and boasts a record of 4-1 overall.
