BASEBALL

Jamie Abercrombie (Hatboro-Horsham) had an RBI double in the second inning of Temple’s 5-1 win over Cleveland State on Sunday.
Beau Ziegler (North Penn) is 1-1 with a 1.54 ERA for the University of Texas-Tyler. In 11.2 innings pitched, Ziegler has 21 strikeouts and 2 walks, along with 2 saves.  
John Kalis (North Penn), a senior at Muhlenberg College, hit his first career homerun in 13-10 loss to nationally ranked Thiel College in Winter Haven, FL.
Mark Renda (North Penn) is batting .286 in 14 games with Kutztown (16-5) this season. Renda hit a three-run homerun as the Golden Bears' posted a 5-0 record at the Newport Apprentice Builder Invitational.
Freshman Chris Edgar (North Penn) has played in all 19 games for Millersville University this season, compiling 65 AB, with a .292 batting average. Edgar was named Millersville Athlete of the Week following the Maurauders’ opening week of the season.
Freshman Kevin Christy (North Penn) pitched 3.2 innings of strong relief for LaSalle University in Saturday's 10-inning victory over St. Peters. Through his first four appearances with the Explorers, Christy's ERA is 3.72 through 9.2 innings pitched.
Randy Mower (North Penn) pitched seven strong innings, allowing just one earned run for St. Joe's University in its 4-1 win over Niagara on Sunday. Mower is 1-2 with a 4.32 ERA this year for the Hawks. Mower has thrown 16.2 innings, and will take the mound this weekend as the Hawks open up their Atlantic 10 schedule at LaSalle University.
LACROSSE
Sophomore Christina Mongiori (Pennsbury) scored three goals while teammate Michelle Mangiaruga (North Penn) added a pair in East Stroudsburg’s 22-7 win over Wilmington on Monday. Freshman Molly McLenigan (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored the first goal of her career in the contest. Sara Foley (Neshaminy) and Lindsay Moyer (Pennridge) both added single goals. East Stroudsburg upped its record to 2-3 on the season.
Breanne Scullin (Council Rock South) is credited with three ground balls in The College of New Jersey’s first two games. TCNJ is 2-0.
SOFTBALL
Freshman Rachel Gieringer (Hatboro-Horsham) delivered an RBI single in the first inning of East Stroudsburg’s 9-1 win over Glenville State last Friday. Gieringer went 1-for-3, including a double, with three RBIs and a run scored in the Warriors’ 8-6 win over Ohio Valley University later this weekend. East Stroudsburg is 8-6.
Rachel Greeby (Pennsbury) had a pair of hits in the The College of New Jersey’s 5-0 win over Penn State Behrend. Greeby, who has started all 10 of TCNJ’s games, is hitting .286 with eight hits in 28 at-bats. She has three stolen bases in three attempts.
