MEN’S BASKETBALL
Kutztown senior Ryan Connolly (Souderton) received an Academic Achievement Award from the Division II Athletic Directors Association for the 2015-16 academic year. Student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 through at least four semesters of college work while competing in an intercollegiate sport to be eligible for recognition.

MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Shippensburg junior Alex Balla (Quakertown) received an Academic Achievement Award from the Division II Athletic Directors Association for the 2015-16 academic year. Student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 through at least four semesters of college work while competing in an intercollegiate sport to be eligible for recognition.

FIELD HOCKEY
Kutztown junior Courtney Konowal (Plymouth Whitemarsh) received an Academic Achievement Award from the Division II Athletic Directors Association for the 2015-16 academic year. Student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 through at least four semesters of college work while competing in an intercollegiate sport to be eligible for recognition.

Melissa Glatt (Central Bucks East) scored the first goal of the season in Lehigh University’s 2-1 win over Rider on Aug. 26.

ICE HOCKEY
Princeton University senior Kelsey Koelzer (Hatboro-Horsham) was the first selection in the 2016 National Women’s Hockey League Draft that was held at the league headquarters in New York in June. The Hatboro-Horsham graduate had a stellar junior season that saw her earn first team All-America honors. She also was a Patty Kazmaeier top-10 finalist and helped lead the Ivy League champion Princeton hockey team, which reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 10 years. Individually, Koelzer was honored as the 2016 ECAC Best Defender of the Year and a finalist for ECAC and Ivy League Player of the Year Awards. She received first team All-ECAC and All-Ivy League accolades, ranking second in the country amongst defenders in scoring, averaging 1.00 point per game in 2016. She had 33 points on 17 goals, for of which were game winners, and 13 assists. She added 60 blocked shots and was a member of both the power play and penalty kill units. In August, Koelzer was named to the USA Under-22 Select Team after participating in the USA Hockey Women’s National Festival in Lake Placid. She returned to Princeton to finish out her eligibility before turning pro following the 2016-17 season.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE
East Stroudsburg junior Chessie Rahmer (Souderton) received an Academic Achievement Award from the Division II Athletic Directors Association for the 2015-16 academic year. Student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 through at least four semesters of college work while competing in an intercollegiate sport to be eligible for recognition.

Bloomsburg junior Kris Gross (Pennridge) received an Academic Achievement Award from the Division II Athletic Directors Association for the 2015-16 academic year. Student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 through at least four semesters of college work while competing in an intercollegiate sport to be eligible for recognition.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
Bloomsburg redshirt senior Maureen Leis (Springfield) received an Academic Achievement Award from the Division II Athletic Directors Association for the 2015-16 academic year. Student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 through at least four semesters of college work while competing in an intercollegiate sport to be eligible for recognition.

SOFTBALL
Moravian junior Jessica D’Agostino (Central Bucks West) was honored as an All-American Scholar-Athlete by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. The Greyhounds won their second straight Landmark Conference championship and finished the season with a record of 37-6.

WOMEN’S SWIMMING
