American Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Sydney Morse – Senior at Norristown Area High School

A four-year varsity player and two-year starter, the Eagles’ senior forward is a captain. She is a big contributor at both ends of the court, averaging over 13 points and six rebounds a game.
Note from the coach:
“Sydney is a dedicated student-athlete,” coach Ashlee Harrison said. “She excels both on and off the court. It has been a pleasure coaching Sydney over the years and watching her mature into a strong, confident young woman. Sydney is respectful, polite and extremely coachable. She has worked very hard to get better, and I can say with tremendous confidence that she’s one of the best post players in the area. Sydney’s commitment to working hard has gained her the opportunity to further her career at Millersville University next year.”
About Sydney:
Best memory playing basketball:
When my team beat Cheltenham after losing to them for three years. This is my best memory because even though we were missing one of our dominant players due to injury, we pulled together as a team to defeat them.
Part of the game I enjoy most: When the game is close because that’s when the game is the most intense and tests a team’s desire and want to win.
My role model is: LeBron James. I aspire to play with the intensity, passion and versatility that he plays with every game.
Music that gets me pumped before games:  Hip hop or any fast-paced music that gets me hyped and ready to play.
Favorite food: Pancakes. ‘I love pancakes, and I could eat them every meal of the day if I could.’
Favorite TV show:  Pretty Little Liars
Chocolate or vanilla:  Vanilla
