Millennium Administrators
Highlighting…SOL Girls’ Basketball Players

This recognition is sponsored by Millennium Administrators. Athletes are chosen based on nomination of coaches.

National Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Lori Paulits – Senior at Neshaminy High School

A four-year varsity player, Paulits is captain of a Redskin squad vying for the National Conference crown. She is the only senior starter and is the team’s top scorer.
Note from the coach:
“Lori is not only a senior captain but also a great teammate,” coach Joe Lally said. “Lori has really elevated her complete game from offense to defense to working hard every day at practice. Her leadership on and off the court is one of the key components of our team’s success this year. I have had the pleasure of coaching Lori since the fifth grade and have enjoyed watching her grow as a player and a person.”
About Lori:
Best memory playing basketball:
Eighth grade CYO championship
Part of the game I enjoy most: I love playing and my teammates.
My role models are:  My Mom and Dad.
Music that gets me pumped before games: ‘Trouble’ by Taylor Swift
Favorite food: Buffalo Chicken Dip
Favorite TV show: One Tree Hill
Chocolate or vanilla:  Chocolate

Continental Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Jess Kraus – Senior at Souderton Area High School
The senior guard is a first year varsity player, but Kraus has been part of the program since she was a freshman.
Note from the coaches:
“Jess is a quiet role model who leads by example,” coach Lynn Carroll said. “She excels in the classroom and consistently shows how a responsible hard-working student-athlete should handle herself. Jess has really stood out this year as a player who puts forth 100 percent effort and focus in practice regardless of how many minutes she has played in the latest game – that is no easy task. We, as coaches, really appreciate what she has brought to the team this year in terms of her commitment and desire to help make our team better each day.”

About Jess:
Best memory playing basketball:
Beating CB West this year. We all worked so hard for it, and the gym erupted as soon as the buzzer sounded. It was like it was right out of a movie!
Part of the game I enjoy most: Getting a steal on defense.
My role models are:  My parents. They work hard for everything they have. They are caring, funny, and the most supportive people I know.
Music that gets me pumped before games: I like a pretty big variety of music, but I always listen to ‘Remember the Name’ by Fort Minor right before the game.
Favorite food:  Pasta
Favorite TV shows:  The Big Bang Theory and Castle
Chocolate or vanilla:  Vanilla

American Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Dominique Gambone – Senior at Upper Merion High School

The senior forward has not only made contributions on the court but also sings the national anthem at all the home games. “Anyone who has attended an Upper Merion girls’ basketball home game knows the voice of Dominique Gambone,” coach Tom Schurtz said. “Everyone who has heard her sing remembers her powerful renditions that start each home game.”
Note from the coach:
“Dom has worked her way through the program to earn a starting spot on this year’s Lady Viking team,” coach Tom Schurtz said. “To say Dom is an undersized forward at 5-6 is to ignore her will to compete and raise the level of her teammate’s play. Dom is a model senior player: she is driven, puts her team first and shows up to every practice and game with a desire to be there.”
About Dominique:
Best memory playing basketball:
My best memory playing basketball is when I was on the court with my friend Nicole when she scored her first varsity point as a senior in one of her last games. The whole season we were trying to get her to score, but she never got the chance, and when she did, the whole team was so excited…and also when I got a black eye, which made me feel really tough.
Part of the game I enjoy most: The part of the game I enjoy the most is when the whole team is working together and having a blast and we win. Then after the game, we go in the locker room and sing and are just crazy.
My role model is: My mom.
Music that gets me pumped before games: ‘Bom Bom’ by Sam and the Womp and ‘Get Outta Your Mind’ by Lil Jon and LMFAO.
Favorite food: My mom’s homemade macaroni salad
Favorite TV show:  Vampire Diaries
Chocolate or vanilla:  Chocolate
