Bensalem VB Wins Haverford Tournament

The Bensalem boys’ volleyball team won the Haverford Tournament for the second time in four years. After going 6-2 in pool play, the Owls went on to defeat Haverford and Palumbo in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively. After going down 0–1 to Holy Redeemer in the finals, the Owls rallied to win the next two games and take home the title.

Middle Blocker Paul Leible was named Tournament MVP. Senior setter Basheer Ghafary did an outstanding job setting up outside hitters Shiv Patel and Ethan Fan as well as right side junior Meet Patel and senior middle Kyle McVicar. Defensively, sophomore libero Harsh Shah had an outstanding day for the Owls. Brad Rosenberg and Nisu Patel also made big plays for Bensalem. Special thanks to assistant coach Matt Sock for leading the team today while the wife of head coach Tim Linehan gave birth to a baby boy!
