National Conference Bergey’s Buick GMC Highlighted Player
Clare Rowley –
Senior at Abington Senior High School
A two-year varsity player, Clare is a “lead by example player” who works hard during the season and in the off-season. Clare plays left wing but has developed strong defensive skills so she can be used in the midfield when her team needs her there.
Note from the coach:
“Clare is a humble player,” coach Amanda Deering said. “She doesn’t always get the recognition she deserves, but she doesn’t need it either. Clare is always up to compete in a game no matter what. She is one of our most consistent players, is very coachable and brings an edge of aggression to the field on game day. Last year, Clare had been getting only a few minutes in the varsity games, but when she was given the opportunity to play against Bensalem, she came up big for us by scoring two goals, including the game winning goal.
About Clare:

Note from the coach:
“Robyn is a good leader,” coach Laura Swezey said. “She’s very positive, and she really good at bringing everyone together. On the field, she’s very intense, and she’s a very good communicator. Even when she doesn’t have the ball, she’s guiding those in front of her where to pass the ball, and she transitions the ball well.”
