Note from the coach:.
“Meghann has been able to transition into any position we have her play,” coach Amanda Tu said. “She’s made significant improvement year after year with her skills. Bergey’s Inc. American Conference Highlighted Player
Aurora ‘Rue’ Mills, Senior, Center Midfielder
Mills is a four-year varsity player. After playing attack the last three years, the senior captain moved to center mid this year to fill a need for the team.
Note from the coach:
“Aurora is a great role model for the younger players,” coach Marianne Paparone said. “She works very hard and this year she has become a vocal leader on the field but also leads by example.  Her attitude is consistently positive, and she gets along very well with all of her teammates.  Switching to midfield was a big deal after playing attack for the past three years, but she always does what is in the best interests of the team, and the transition has been a very smooth one.  Rue is extremely coachable as well, always receptive to constructive criticism and always looking for ways to improve.  I have recently given her the nickname of ‘Bambi’ because she takes some great spills on the field (like a newborn deer), but she pops right up and keeps on playing.  I have been very pleased with her work ethic and consistent play this season.”
About Aurora:
Best memory playing field hockey:
“Scoring the winning goal in a game against Wissahickon to keep our undefeated record.”
Part of the game I enjoy the most:  “The hard sound of the ball hitting the boards of the goal.”
How did you get involved in hockey?  “I started playing in fifth grade for my CYO team (I still remember being shocked that I could only use the one side of the stick). I have played every year since”
My role models are:  My big brother
Music on iPod:  Drake, J Cole, and Chance
Favorite food:  Cheesesteak
Favorite class:  Anatomy and Physiology
Future plans:  “I want to go to college to become a successful Physical Therapist.”
Four people – dead or alive – I’d invite to a dinner party:  Thomas Jefferson, Serena Williams, Ellen Degeneres, and Albert Einstein.
