Lizzy Petermichl –
Senior at Abington High School
Petermichl is a two-year starter at forward for the Ghosts.
Note from the coach:
“Lizzy is a player who shows up to play every day, whether it’s a practice or game day,” coach Amanda Deering said. “Her work ethic and positive attitude are contagious and help the team through tough games. This year Lizzy was an integral part of welcoming the underclassmen onto the team. Despite her drive to become a better player, her main goal has always been to improve the team as a whole. Lizzy plans to join the Marine Corps after high school and serve her country.”
About Lizzy:

“All of the pasta parties and team bonding events.”

Hannah Chamberlain
and Sarah Horrox – Seniors at William Tennent High School
Chamberlain is a two-year varsity starter in the midfield and last year received all-league honorable mention. Horrox is a three-year varsity player and starter and left midfield. They are a dynamic duo holding down the Panthers’ midfield.
Note from the coach:
“Hannah is a coachable player that has a remarkable attitude toward life,” coach Kaitlyn Rauchut said. “Her kindness and energetic positivity is infectious. Hannah is a leader who always leads by example with a smile. She is hard working and willing to always help her teammates continue to improve. Hannah’s versatility makes her a triple threat on the field to score, pass, and play defense. Hannah shows consistent athleticism with her tremendous endurance playing 60 minutes of every game.
“Sarah is the player that coaches hope and wish to have. She has a strong presence on the field with a fearless demeanor to play strong defense. Sarah has commendable instincts, confidence and stick skills within her high caliber talents. Sarah does a wonderful job of leading by example and always pushing herself and her teammates to be the best. She is not only tremendously athletic but also quite a humorous team player that brings vibrant energy to the team.”

“Being called up to varsity as a freshman and having the support of the seniors.”

Keifonna Ferguson –
Senior at Norristown High School

The senior captain has provided leadership and also contributed to the team offensively.
Note from the coach:
“Keke is one of those diamonds in the rough,” coach Stacie Staufenberg said. “She really took to being coached and has become a very good field hockey player. More important is how Keke is an integral part of our team. She gives everything she has every moment on the field. She is a good leader and leads best by just doing it! Her vibrant personality is what makes her special. The race against Max at Abington is a great example. She pumped up everyone on both teams about it. She has been a pleasure to coach.”
About Keifonna:
Best memory playing field hockey:  “Playing against William Tennent in my junior year. I played my heart out. Also, our game against Abington because I raced Max from their team, and both teams were cheering. Even though he beat me, I still talk with him on Facebook.”
Part of the game I enjoy the most:  “Flying on corners.”
