Amrit Ahluwalia –
Junior at Council Rock North High School
A two-year starter, Ahluwalia is a versatile player. She has played all the defensive back positions as well as defensive midfielder and has been an anchor of Rock North’s defense this season.
Note from the coach:
“Amrit is a very smart and versatile player,” coach Heather Whalin said. “She is definitely one of the strongest defenders that we have this year. She also inserts on corners and is in on our corner defense. Without her, we are not as successful this season. Her skills and game awareness make her the complete player.”
About Amrit:
Best field hockey memory: 
“Playing in the National Futures Championship over the summer.”
Part of game I enjoy most:  “Beating an opponent with your smarts as well as your skills.”
My role models are:  My parents

Emily Braunewell –
Junior at Hatboro-Horsham High School
The junior goalie is a two-year varsity starter, anchoring the Hattters’ backfield as the last line of defense. She is a member of the USA Women’s U19 Junior National Indoor Team
Note from the coach:
“Em not only has incredible stats in goal but also the contagious positive attitude and hard-working demeanor that packaged together is every coach’s dream,” coach Laura Swezey said.
About Emily:
Best memory playing field hockey: 
“Any day with my teammates.”
Part of the game I enjoy most:  “Making the USA Women’s Junior Indoor National Team.”
My role model is:  My parents and all my coaches.

Bergey’s Inc. American Conference Highlighted Player

Monica Mellon – Senior at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School
Mellon is a two-year starter, playing defensive back for a Colonial squad that has posted shutouts in five of its last six games and has eight on the season.
Note from the coach:
“Monica is the type of player every coach wants on their team,” coach Marianne Paparone said. “She is consistent and reliable and demands very little. She is a hard worker who gets along well with her teammates. On our team, Monica is a role player, but we wouldn’t be where we are without her.”
About Monica:
Best memory playing field hockey: 
“Last year on our Senior Night when we were a struggling team and we beat Springfield – which had a very good record.”
Part of the game I enjoy the most:  “When we are close to scoring and everyone is cheering and yelling.”
My role model is:  “My teammate Rachel Konowal.”
Favorite food:  Pizza
Favorite TV show:  Big Bang Theory
