Tristan Wieczorek – Senior at Council Rock North High School
An assistant captain, Wieczorek had seven goals and four assists for 11 points. The Rock North senior is not only the top scorer for a young Indian squad but also a positive leader. Wieczorek also excels in the classroom where he boasts a 3.2 GPA.

Note from the coach:
“As a person, Tristan is one of the top three ‘good kids’ I have ever had,” coach Eric Tye said. “He is always smiling, he cares about his teammates, he cares about people in general, and he’s just a good kid. He’s always the first to volunteer if someone needs a ride to practice or a game. He’s that good of a kid. I have so many freshmen and sophomores on the team, and I hope they all pay attention to the way he handles himself, and they all try to emulate that as they grow up.
“As a hockey player, I think any coach – if they could have 15 Tristans on their team, they would be smiling constantly. He has a motor that doesn’t stop. Whether it’s practice or games, he gives 150 percent any time he puts his hockey skates on and goes on the ice. If it’s a 48-minute game, he plays at least 30. I’ve been doing this a long time, and he is easily top three of just good kids.”

About Tristan:
Best memory playing high school hockey:
My best memory of high school hockey is scoring a short-handed goal at the Rock Cup this year, my senior year.
Part of the game I enjoy most: What I enjoy most about hockey is the pace of the game and the friendships that come from it. It is fast paced like no other game in the world. And you can start a season not knowing anyone on your team, but you spend so much time with these guys that by the end of the season, it’s like having 16 or 17 new brothers.
How did you get involved in ice hockey? I got involved because I was watching it on TV, and from the time I was three years old, that was all I wanted to do.
My role model is:  My role model is Mark McMorris because after figuring out he liked snowboarding so much and he could make a career or it, his mom told him he couldn’t doo it, but now, at age 20, he is one of the top freestyle snowboarders in the world.
Music on iPod: I have a lot of country music on my iPod, but before a game, I listen to a lot of Meek Mill and anything that’s fast paced and upbeat to get me focused.
Favorite food:  Anything from Chipotle
Favorite class: Math
Future plans:  I plan on going to college, and then I hope to play some sort of collegiate hockey at any level.
Four people I’d invite to a dinner party:  Brayden Schenn, Will Ferrell, Meek Mill, and Mark McMorris.
