Boys/Girls Cross Country Results: UM/NH-S/Souderton (10-3-23)

Boys
SOUDERTON 19, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 36
The Souderton Boys Cross Country defeated CB West on Tuesday, 19-36, moving their dual meet record to 3-1. Seniors James Kuduk, Aiden Maue and Aidan Kearns led the way.
Cheer on the cross country teams this Saturday as they race at Souderton's only home Invitational meet known as "Twilight." Races start at 4:10 in the afternoon concluding with Varsity girls at 5:40 then the boys will seek to defend their title at 6:25pm.

UPPER MORELAND 21, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 35
The Golden Bears took the top four spots en route to a 21-35 victory over visiting New Hope.  Christian Feil, Nick Ley, Chicken Saunders and John Cox finished 1-4 and Chase Sutrynowicz rounded out the scoring for Upper Moreland.  Jeff Magliaccio was the top finisher for New Hope finishing 5th.
"I could not be prouder of the way the guys competed today,” UM coach Doug Smith said. “Everyone ran great, and I think they all surprised themselves with the times they were able to run. They have been working hard in practice and doing what they need to on and off the course.
“The top four set the pace and ran great.  Chase was in a great spot and looked amazing until he caught a cramp but gutted it out and finished.  Jack Bogart is running great and his progression from the start of the year until now has been awesome, and getting Xavier Daniel out on the course for our home meet was a great moment."

Girls
The girls’ race was scored a no contest because neither New Hope nor host Upper Moreland had enough competitors to complete a team.  New Hope's Ruby Keddie finished first with a time of 22:57 while Upper Moreland's Melody McDonough was second crossing the line in 23:53.
"Our home course is not an easy course and for Ruby and Melody to run sub 24 is a very good time at this point in the season,” UM coach Dough Smith. “All of the girls in the race ran great and New Hope's coach (Dana McCafferty) and I were pleased with the times and efforts from both teams."
