CB South Foursome to Play Collegiate Soccer

On Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, Central Bucks South seniors Kristen Conway, Mary Naugle, Holly Joseph & Allison Sauers were recognized for committing to continue their soccer careers at the collegiate level.

Kristen Conway – Holy Family University (Soccer)
Major:
Nursing
Final list of colleges: Holy Family, Bloomsburg, Jefferson, Seton Hall
Reasons for choosing Holy Family: “It really stood out to me. One, definitely the coaches – I loved the coaching staff, but also, I loved how tiny it is. It makes it feel homey, and I liked that about it.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in soccer at the collegiate level? “I was kind of on and off. My club coach, Dave Steinbach, put us all into the process. I started reaching out to coaches, and then there was a period where I was like – I’m not sure, so I started kind of late, but after that, I was full on. I knew what I wanted, I knew I wanted to play soccer, and I wasn’t ready to give that up.”
Coach Gabbie Nolan says:  Kristen is a positive, committed leader. I saw from day one that she was a hard worker and held herself to a high standard. Kristen’s encouraging leadership never wavered even in the lows of our season. Her work and dedication helped our team immensely this season and will do the same for her team at Holy Family.

What was the progression that led you to competing in soccer at the collegiate level? “I really loved playing soccer, I created such good bonds with my teammates, so I wanted to continue four more years.”
Coach Gabbie Nolan says: Holly is team oriented and is able to hold herself and teammates accountable. She played out of position the majority of the season with zero complaints. That’s when I started to pursue it and get recruited more.”
