Josh Adams – University of Notre Dame (Football)
Major:
Undecided but interested in Psychology
Final list of colleges:  Notre Dave, Pitt, Stanford, Penn State, Rutgers
Reasons for choosing Notre Dame:  “It’s Notre Dame. You can use it as an explanation because when you go down there – there’s a great feeling that you get. There are just a lot of great guys there – guys that are just like you. There are guys from everywhere, but at the same time, you still have a lot of things in common with them because they share the same goals, the same expectations, and they all want the same thing. I really felt like it was a second family down there, and, of course, it’s a great education. What better place to build your future at for the sport of football and after football. I just fell in love with it. I didn’t commit when I was there because I had to get home and see if it was real, but when I got home, I knew that was the best place for me.”
What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate football?  “When I started playing football, I knew I had to play in college. I saw how much hard work you had to put in, and I’m just blessed to be surrounded by great people to support me. I think I always knew.
“I thank God that it did happen. I definitely knew I wanted to go to a big school. I didn’t know that a lot of schools would come to me. I figured I would have to send my tape out to all the schools that I wanted to go to, but I didn’t focus that much on the whole thing. I just wanted to play football, and everything took care of itself.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says:  “He’s a special kind of kid. One thing that I always tell people when they ask me about Josh as a player – before you talk about him as a player, you have to talk about him as a person. He’s the kind of kid that you root for because he always does things the right way. He represents himself, and he represents the program. He’s a great ambassador for the program, so to see him go through this process and all the different choices that he had and the excitement he felt through the whole thing, and to see him put himself in a position to go to an institution like Notre Dame – it’s a special thing happening to a very special person.”
Former coach Dave Rackovan says:  “This is easy to say – Josh is probably one of the best student-athletes I’ve ever been around. His character, his leadership, his charisma are part of a package that I’m sure attracted Notre Dame to him, in addition to his unbelievable ability.”
About Josh:
Favorite food:
Sweet Potatoes (Candied Yams)

Favorite music:  Meek Mill

Tyler Fischer – West Virginia Wesleyan College (Football)
Major:
Sports Business
Final list of colleges:  West Virginia Wesleyan, Shippensburg, Lock Haven
Reasons for choosing West Virginia Wesleyan:  “When I went there, the coaches were very friendly. I felt like I would actually fit in on the campus. The players were nice. It just seemed like the right fit when I went there.”
What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate football?  “I started thinking about it in ninth grade when I got complimented by coaches and other people just saying I was good at what I did, and I thought, ‘I can use this to my advantage to get into a great academic school.’ I was able to do that to get into West Virginia Wesleyan.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says:  “Tyler was consistent year round. He was not only consistent, but he was actually a legitimate weapon. It’s nice to have a kind of kicker in high school football where it’s not just a matter of guaranteed to get us the extra point after touchdowns, but you can actually use him as a weapon to get the points you need whenever you need them. He was just a very consistent force, not just his ability to put the ball in the end zone on kickoffs but as well as his consistency in the kicking game.”
About Tyler:
Favorite food:
Steak & Crabs
Favorite movie:  We are Marshall
Favorite music:  Country

Jack Mummert – West Chester University (Football)
Major:
Supply Chain Business Management
Final list of colleges:  West Chester, Shippensburg, Clarion
Reasons for choosing West Chester:  “When I went there for my official visit, it felt like the place to be. All the players are really nice. I could connect with all of them because they usually come from this area. It just felt like a great place to be.”
What was the progression that led you to playing football at the collegiate level?  “Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to play in college, and once I hit the high school level, I started to realize I probably could do this in college. It became a reality.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says:  “Jack was one of the captains of our team. He was the strongest person on our team. He’s a good leader, and his style of play is very aggressive. He’s an attacking kind of an offensive lineman. He hits you and you know you’ve been hit, and he takes pride in that, so it’s fun to watch him play because – as we say – he goes out with bad intentions, and that’s not a bad thing to have when you’re an offensive lineman.”
About Jack:
Favorite food:
Chicken Waffles
Favorite movie:  Happy Gilmore
Favorite music:  Rap
