CBSOuth 4x800, a spectacular performance

Central Bucks South 4x800 Relay: a record setting performance!!

First, it must be stated that it was a privilege and an honor to have witnessed the spectacular
performance of the four young men on Sat May 23, 2009 at Shippensburg State College. It is difficult to describe the emotion and exhilaration of the crowd as each boy passed the stands during each leg.
To challenge, almost defy the long standing record set by four Wissahickon athletes who could almost boast that it was theirs…..and it was…. For nearly 27 years, CB South did not waiver!
But a closer look at the manner in which each athlete challenged their assignment reminds us of a Marine Corps slogan PRESS THE ATTACK.
Not having interviewed Coach Cox, one can imagine the instruction he made to his athlete.
Take the lead and keep it.
PRESS THE ATTACK!
Coaches fully realize that it was an almost impossible challenge.   Relay teams deal with strengths and weaknesses, strategies of who leads off, who finishes the race.   But to take the lead and keep it was what the four young men accomplished. Yes, there were moments when they were pressed during the second and third leg, North Penn then Upper Dublin tried desperate challenges but to no avail.
The team held the lead. They PRESSED THE ATTACK.
We thank the team and CBSouth coaches for a great effort and a totally focused performance.
