Central Bucks East senior attackman Alex Fetterman has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Muhlenberg College.

Fetterman was an Honorable Mention All-Suburban One Continental Conference pick in 2009 when he helped the Patriots win the league crown and reach the District 1 semifinals.

Fetterman, a member of the National Honor Society, plans to major in pre-med at Muhlenberg in hopes of becoming a surgeon.

“I know Muhlenberg has a renowned biology program and I want to be a doctor when I grow up,” he said. “I also want to play lacrosse in college, and at a D1 program I would not have much of a college life.”

Fetterman is a board member for the Extra Man Opportunity Community Service Club, which organizes and provides service projects by the CB East lacrosse team. The club’s most recent project was raking leaves for the Breathing Room Foundation in Hatboro. Last year the Pats were named the Phillylacrosse.com Team of the Week for their efforts.

Fetterman believes the Pats can again contend for district honors in 2010.

“I think we can go farther this year,” he said. “We have an awesome offense and defense and a lot more middies than last year.”
