Luke Gomez – Hofstra University (Lacrosse)

Major:  Business

Final list of schools:  Hofstra, Drexel, Towson, Air Force

Reasons for choosing Hofstra:  “The program, the coaches and the team – it was really just a good fit for me. My sister (Zoe Gomez) committed before me, and having family up there is not a bad thing. It was just a perfect fit.”

What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate lacrosse?  “Ever since I was little, I remember going to a national championship game and saying, ‘I want to play in college.’ It really became a reality my freshman year – playing club lacrosse and playing every weekend, just trying to be the best I could be. It just worked out as time went on.”

Coach Tom Walsh says:  “Luke’s a very talented player, and he’s extremely athletic. He’s our best midfielder on the field. He leads by example every time he’s out there.”-
