National Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Emily Edwards – Senior at Pennsbury High School

A senior reserve, Edwards, a forward, is one of the first players off the bench for the Falcons. She also is a starter for the soccer team.
Note from the coach:
“Emily is the quintessential teammate,” coach Keith Gabor said. “She has been a contributing member of both the varsity soccer and varsity basketball programs. Emily has no qualms about chasing down a 50/50 basketball and getting on the floor for the good of the team.”
About Emily:
Best memory playing basketball:“My best memory playing basketball was my junior year when our team beat Neshaminy in a very close game that secured our spot for States.  I've played both soccer and basketball throughout high school, and the biggest games of our seasons have always been the Pennsbury versus Neshaminy games.  In soccer, they were always very close games, but Neshaminy consistently beat us.  That made winning against Neshaminy to secure our spot for states even more bittersweet.  After Neshaminy won our SOL league, it was a very close game and even more exciting that we won.  Most of the Pennsbury girls’ soccer team came out to support us, and they shared in our excitement as we finally beat our rivals.   Anyone from Neshaminy or Pennsbury understands the rivalry between the schools and how exciting those games always are.”

Part of the game I enjoy the most: “The part of basketball I enjoy the most is when our team presses and defense.  A lot of people tend to enjoy offense more, but that's not me.  I love playing defense and live for one-on-one situations.  Our team’s press is very successful as we trap the dribbler to make a stop.  This is one of my favorite things about basketball, since a successful press gets the energy up on the court as the other team gets flustered.  A press stop always makes the game more exciting!”
My role model is:  “For basketball, my role model is Sarah Thorn.  She graduated from my high school, Pennsbury in 2008, and she is currently one of the assistant coaches for our high school team.  She is my role model because I remember going to the youth basketball camps run by the high school team where I was initially impressed and wanted to play like her.  Now I have been given the opportunity to not only learn from her basketball expertise, but to also get the opportunity to become friends with someone who I looked up to as a youth.”
Music that gets me pumped before games:  The song 'Turbulence,’ any hip hop/rap songs
Favorite food:  “My favorite food is tomatoes.  They are so good that I will sometimes eat them like apples!”
Favorite TV show:  The Middle
Chocolate or vanilla:“I love vanilla ice cream!”

Continental Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Emily Sebesky – Senior at Central Bucks East High School
Sebesky is a senior guard/forward whose seven points a game are just a small part of her contributions to the team.
Note from the coach:
“Emily is an invaluable part of our team,” coach Liz Potash said. “Offensively, she is asked to play positions two through four depending on the situation, and defensively, she is assigned the opposing team’s top guard. Emily is an outstanding role model for the younger players; she has a tremendous work ethic and is just a great teammate and person.”
About Emily:
Best memory playing basketball:
“Winning the eighth grade basketball championship and being able to play with my best friends.”
Part of game I enjoy most: “Playing defense because it’s more about heart and hard work than talent.”
My role model is: “My mom because she’s the hardest working person I know, and she supports me regardless of my mistakes.”
Music that gets me pumped before games: Heads Will Roll or something from one of Karoline’s CDs.
Favorite food:  Tacos
Favorite TV show:  How I Met Your Mother
Chocolate or vanilla:  Chocolate

American Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Katherine Bailey – Senior at Upper Merion High School

Bailey is a three-year starter who plays guard for the Vikings.
Note from the coach:
“Katherine has continually improved over her time with the Lady Vikings,” coach Tom Schurtz said. “Aside from her play on the court, Katherine is an outstanding student, and she is involved in many school activities, but beyond all of the effort and dedication, Katherine is the sort of young woman that makes coaching and teaching at Upper Merion an enjoyable experience.”
About Katherine:
Best memory playing basketball:
“Sophomore year going 16-6 and getting a home playoff game.
Part of the game I enjoy most: “I love being a part of my team and the adrenaline rush playing gives me.”
