National Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Allison Taub – Council Rock South High School

The junior forward has come on strong as the season progressed and is averaging close to 10 points and 12 rebounds a game.
Note from the coach:
“There’s been a difference in her play from the first quarter of the season,” coach Monica Stolic said. “She was our sixth or seventh man last year, and as the season has progressed this year, she has become more and more confident and has been able to take over games. She was our leading rebounder as a junior. She’s only 5-9, but she can jump. This year it’s translating into scoring. She’s not just having putbacks, she has a pretty good drive to the basket. She’s helping her teammates and coaching on the floor, and she’s really stepping up as a leader. She’s an all-around athlete. She’s a goalie for the soccer team, and she does track in the spring. She’s just a very good athlete.”

National Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Nicole Alden – William Tennent High School
The senior forward, a team captain, is averaging close to 13 points a game and is also the team’s top rebounder.

Note from the coach:
“Nikki is a true example to her teammates with how hard and physical she plays/practices,” coach Paul Veltre said. “Her work ethic simply doesn’t allow her to take off a single drill. Yet despite her physicality and competitive attitude, she is a genuinely humble and friendly kid with a soft heart and tender spirit.”
About Nicole:

American Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Kayla McAneney – Senior at Upper Dublin High School

A four-year varsity player, McAneney was averaging 18 points a game when she went down with a torn ACL and was lost for the season.
Note from the coach:
“Kayla has always done what the team needed most to be successful,” coach Morgan Funsten said. “Last year it was more on the defensive end while at the same time she gave us timely scoring.  It would be an understatement to say that Kayla stepped up her offensive role this season.  She had a great offseason where she gained a lot of confidence in her scoring.  She came out this season on fire, averaging 18 points a game with 35 3 pointers (Shooting 43%) in 9 games.  She tore her ACL in the first quarter of our 10th game of the season against PW and will be getting surgery next week.  We won that game by 20 points, but it felt like we lost by 30 that night.
“Kayla is a really tough person.  When she officially found out that her knee was torn, I talked to her and asked how she was holding up.  She told me, ‘I just hope my teammates are okay.’  She has always had that team-first attitude which is contagious around her peers.  Her playing ability and leadership have been missed but she continues to stay positive about the upcoming surgery and helps keep the team focused on the goals that we set at the beginning of the season.

“It is great to have her around as an extra assistant coach as she provides great insight as to what is going on in games.  She also doubles as the fashion coordinator as she decides on what outfit her coach and managers wear.  (We all match)  (haha).”
About Kayla:
Best memory playing basketball: As a freshman, I got put into a state playoff game against Abington Heights after the first quarter to face guard their best player. She had about 12 points in the first quarter and I think one point the rest of the game.
Part of the game I enjoy most:  Shooting
My role models are: My teammates. They showed me that after something bad happens, you have two options. You can either let it get to you and give up or you can overcome it. After I got hurt, my teammates inspired me and showed me that you’ll never get anywhere if you give up.
Music that gets me pumped before games: I’ll listen to anything from Luke Bryan to Jay-Z to One Direction
Favorite food:  Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
Favorite TV show:  The Big Bang Theory
Chocolate or vanilla:  Chocolate
