North Penn traveled to Thunderbird lanes in Warminster to face the Hatters of Hatboro Horsham in quest of holding on the their division lead knowing that in past years that scoring and winning is always a tough chore. The Knights and Maidens did come away with 4-0 sweep.
In the girls match Hatboro Horsham put the Maidens to a real test in the second game as a nicely contested game came down to both of the last two bowlers. For NP is was first year senior bowler Laura Leaonard and and anchor Lauren Marrone needed both to make a spare since Hatboro's Lauren Klein had already made her mark forcing the issue to take the lead by 5 pins. Both NP girls made their spares and ended up winning by 12 pins.In the third game Hatboro's Laura Klein finishe her night with a high for both teams wit ha 212 game.
The Knights bowled well enough with some needed substitutions to earn their victory with the added changes of Christian Stinson rolling a 244 in the second game and Stephen MacFarland bowling only his third career varsity game with a 189 game . (Junior ) Dylan Bailey-Smith filled in with a consistant night for a respectable 584 series helping the Knights to their victory. North Penn host the challenge of the Abington Ghosts next Wednesday January 21.
