Bensalem at Pennsbury 1/18/22

The Falcons hosted the conference meet against Bensalem High School on Jan. 19. The defending SOL champion girls’ team was a winner, and the boys finished with their first in-conference victory. Pennsbury boys and girls started off with a strong showing in the 200 Medley Relay, with victories. The 200 FR also proved to be a successful event, with stand-out performances by Josie Desjardins and Jake Woodward. The 200 IM featured strong performances by seniors Maggie Sweitzer, Jacob Cohen and Sam Bevington. The 50FR brought tremendous showings by Shreeya Gounder and Kyle Zisa. The 100FL demonstrated Maggie Sweitzer and Ben Brown, doing what they do so well. Shreeya Gounder and Neil Griesbaum achieved best times in the 100FR. The 500FR did not disappoint with senior Ashley Martillotti swimming the event for the first time with a victory. Freshman Kian Hecht and sophomore Jacob Strockoz battled to the end, with a .07 between them, finishing off the 500FR. Other standout performances included Anna Radzinski and Andrew Thau in 100 BK, Val Lawton and Derek Bednarz in 100BR. Both teams finished with strong performances and victories in the 400 FR Relay.

Pennsbury v CR South (at CR North) Friday 1/21/22

The Pennsbury Swim and Dive team finished in-conference competition on the road on Friday, 1/21/22, against Council Rock South. The Pennsbury girls team arrived, looking to win and maintain their standing in the SOL National Conference, and that is exactly what they did.

The Falcons battled from start to finish, and the girls proved their strength and won. On the boy’s side, the Falcons had a lot of close races, but in the end they lost to a strong Council Rock South.  The Pennsbury boys were led by event winner Jacob Cohen (100 FR), and on the girls’ side, double event winner Maggie Sweitzer (50 FR, 100FR). Other individual event winners for the Falcons were Kian Hecht (200FR), Val Lawton, Kassidy Georgevich (diving), Luke Parada (diving), Keira Walsh and Ben Brown (500 FR), Reagan Ward (100 BK), and Jacob Strockoz (100 BR).

Next week the Falcons Swimming and Dive team host their last two dual meets of the season and celebrate their seniors at home versus Abington on Thursday,1/27/2022.
