PENNSBURY AT SOL NATIONAL CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Pennsbury Swim and Dive team competed at the SOL National Conference Championships this past week. The boys and the girls’ teams took 
second place behind conference champions Council Rock North. On the boys’ side, CR North finished the meet with 471 points, Pennsbury earned 395, and Neshaminy rounded out the top three with 339 points. The Falcon divers delivered thirty-one points to the boys score. On the girls’ side, CR North finished the meet with 460.5 points, Pennsbury earned 441.5, and CR South scored 323 points. The lady
Falcon divers contributed big with sixty-two points.
Many seasonal and lifetime bests were recorded over the course of the meet and the coaches were very pleased with the results. The Falcons were led by double individual event winners senior Will Deitch (50 FR, 100 FR) and senior Brooke Garretson (200 FR, 100 BR). Garretson’s swims also established new Pennsbury team records (200 FR 1:53.71 and 100 BR 1:06.59). Other event winners included Ryan Ward (200 FR), Kassidy Georgevich (Diving), Mackenzie Cicco (500 FR), the girls 200 FR Relay team (Maggie Sweitzer, Avery Stimmel, Valerie Lawton, Brooke Garretson), and the girls 400 FR Relay team (Avery Stimmel, Valerie Lawton, Mackenzie Cicco, Brooke Garretson).

PHS Next Week: On Tuesday, 2/18/20, Pennsbury will send swimmers to the Upper Dublin Last Chance meet, while the divers will compete at the District One Championships on Friday, 2/21/20 (Boys), and Saturday, 2/22/20 (Girls), at North Penn High School.
