Plymouth Whitemarsh Girls’ Bowling vs. Council Rock South – 12/13/2012

Submitted by Scott Weiss for Plymouth Whitemarsh

The Plymouth Whitemarsh Lady Colonials had been victorious in games One and three, while the CR South Golden Hawks snatched the second set. Jamie Pugielli, anchor and junior for PW, rolled a match-high 201 in the first set. The Lady Colonial had their share of inconsistencies, including failing to convert spares on a nine in the final three frames, and the Golden Hawks found some marks in the tenth frame; Pugielli led PW via 161 pins. As for the third set, the Golden Hawks received a Turkey from Madison, but the marks came in various spurts, while the Lady Colonial rallied from pins behind in the final frame to win the third set and match.

·NOTES= These schools had not met for bowling since Dec. 9, 2010, at Facenda Whitaker Lanes, which had been PC's regular season opener. Last season's December 2011 meeting between PW at CR South in Feasterville had been cancelled. Council Rock South in girl's bowling had won eight and lost zero in its previous two meetings vs. the Lady Colonial. These two squads, both boys and girls, plan to meet for another colleague tussle during this 2012-2013 season in Feasterville. Amy Costello(PW Class of 2010) had the highest pinfall for a Lady Colonial against CR South with 2010 on Feb 1, 2010 in Feasterville. PW in 2012-2013 has played matches on consecutive days (12/12/2012 vs. Upper Dublin &12/13/2012), both at Facenda Whitaker.
