Quakertown VB Finishes Second at Hurricane Invitational

Quakertown finished 2nd overall in today's Hurricane Invitational Volleyball Tournament held at Liberty High School.

Pool Play: 
Quakertown lost to Liberty 0-2 (14-25, 14-25)
Quakertown split with William Tennent 1-1 (19-25, 25-21)
Quakertown def. CR South 2-0 (25-12, 25-13)
Quakertown def. Abington Heights 2-0 (25-22, 25-19)
Finished 2nd place in Pool Play (Liberty took 1st Place)

Semifinals:
Quakertown def. Berwick 2-1 (23-25, 25-21, 15-12)
*Berwick was first place in their pool

Finals:
Quakertown lost to Liberty 0-2 (18-25, 21-25)

Coach Andy Snyder says:  Today's success was a total team effort.  All players that dressed for the tournament had some sort of contribution as we worked through several lineups looking for the team chemistry that we had been lacking of late.  Despite losing in the Finals, today was a great success for the team and we will look to build on this throughout the remainder of the season.”
