#1 PENNRIDGE 10, #16 BENSALEM 2
Eleven players contributed to the scoring for the Rams. Andrew Savona’s four-point game (2g,2a) led a balanced Pennridge attack.
The Rams led 2-0 after one period, thanks to goals from Nate McKean (Josh Kelly/James Rush assists) and Shane Dachowski (Savona/John Mikulich assists). It could have been worse for the Owls had it not been for the 19-save effort of Ricky Gonzalez in goal in a period that saw the Rams hold a 21-6 advantage in shots.
The Rams upped their lead to 4-0 after goals by Rush (Jared Garber assist) and Nick Young (Kelly assist) to open the second period. Lucas Gonzalez put the Owls on the board with assists from Alex Bazylevich and Alex Hood, but the Rams closed out the period with goals by Savona (Colin Dachowski) and Kevin Pico (Savona/Colin Dachowski assists) to up their lead to 6-1.
Four straight goals by the Rams included a pair by Pico – both with Shane Dachowski assists – as well as single goals by Nolan Shaw and Savona. Alex Hood (Bazylevich assist) connected for the Owls to close out the scoring.
Jacob Winton was credited with 23 saves in goal in a win that saw the Rams hold a 62-25 advantage in shots. Ricky Gonzalez – despite battling an injury – was credited with 52 saves in goal for the Owls.
Pennridge will face #9 Downingtown East in a quarterfinal game on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.

#2 COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 12, SPRING-FORD 0
Kevin Koles had a busy night, scoring twice and adding five assists to lead the Golden Hawks to the no-doubt-about-it win.
Adding four-point games were Nikita Volobuiev (3g,1a) and Blaize Pepe (1g,3a).
The Golden Hawks took care of business in a hurry, putting five goals on the board in the first period and adding seven more in the second to bring an early end to the contest.
Koles turned an Evan Mostoller pass into a goal 31 seconds into the contest for a goal that turned out to be the game-winner. 
Jeremy Rayher’s three-point game included two goals and an assist. Adding two-point games were Jonah Weston (1g,1a), Jake Weiner (1g,1a), Chase Tovsky (2a), Jordan Sarne (2g) and Evan Mostoller (2a) while Jackson Mosley had an assist.
The Golden Hawks held a 33-3 advantage in shots. Trevor Rakszawski turned away the only three shots he faced in the shutout win in goal.
Council Rock South will face #10 Cherokee in a quarterfinal game at Hatfield Ice on Thursday at 6 p.m. Cherokee defeated #7 Lower Merion in opening round action.

#6 CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 5, #11 AVON GROVE 2
The Titans led wire to wire in Tuesday’s opening round, taking a 3-0 lead into the third period and never allowing Avon Grove to get closer than two goals.
Aidan Linso scored with a Nathan Napolitano assist midway through the opening period. The Titans took that 1-0 lead into the second period.
DJ Lindenmuth (Linso assist) scored in the opening minutes of the period, and three minutes later, Colin Mendham scored with an assist from Joey Slobodrian for a 3-0 lead after two periods.
William Gorman scored with 7:32 remaining to make it a 3-1 game, but Sean Cutter (Lindenmuth assist) answered with a goal for the Titans. That 4-1 score stood until 26 seconds remained in regulation when Avon Grove’s Brendan Chandler scored. Sixteen seconds later, Jeffrey Kvecher scored for the Titans (Logan Hood/Jake Stepp assists) to close out the scoring.
Napolitano turned away 20 of 22 shots he faced to earn the win in goal for the Titans.
Central Bucks South will face third-seeded Boyertown in Thursday’s quarterfinal round at Ice Line at 6:30 p.m.

#9 DOWNINGTOWN EAST 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 2
The Patriots found themselves staring at a 3-0 deficit when Park Nassour scored just over a minute into the second period. They made things real interesting with a pair of goals, but the Cougars managed to eke out the win.
David Brown scored a power play goal with four seconds remaining in the second period, using a Charlie Keiser assist) to make it a 3-1 game heading into the final period.
Corey Kosick scored five minutes into the third period, turning a pass from Patrick O’Brien into a goal that made it a 3-2 game. That score stood the rest of the way.
Cole Breen kept the Patriots in the game, turning away 39 of 42 shots. Downingtown West’s Basil Hemberger was credited with 33 saves in the win in goal.

#3 BOYERTOWN 7, #14 PENNSBURY 2
The Falcons knotted the score at 1-1 early only to see the Bears close out the game with a 6-1 tear.
Putting the Falcons on the scoreboard with 9:27 remaining in the first period was Christopher Sarver with an assist from Evan Eisler. By the time the Falcons scored again on an unassisted goal by Sarver early in the second period, the Bears led 4-1 on their way to the 6-2 win.
Boyertown held a 42-19 advantage in shots. Pennsbury’s Aaron McDaniel was credited with 35 saves in goal.

#5 HAVERFORD 6, #12 NORTH PENN 2
The Knights – looking anything but the part of the underdog – took a 1-0 lead into the third period only to see the Fords’ attack come to life, erupting for six goals to earn the opening round win.
Cole Pluck broke a scoreless tie with 2:57 remaining in the second, finding the net with a Nolan Shingle assist. Through two periods, both teams had 20 shots.
The third period belonged to the Fords. Back-to-back goals by Gus Scuderi and Shawn Yoder in a span of 20 seconds just over a minute into the period gave the Fords their first lead of the game.
They upped that lead to 3-1 on a goal by by Ryan McGlade with 13:33 remaining in regulation. Shingle (Pluck assist) connected on a short-handed goal with 13 minutes remaining, but that’s as close as the Knights would get. The Fords closed out the game with three unanswered goal to notch the hard-fought win.

#4 DOWNINGTOWN WEST 9, #13 SOUDERTON 4
The Indians trailed 3-0 midway through the opening period and then reeled off three unanswered goals to knot the score seven minutes into the second period. Downingtown West had an emphatic answer to Souderton’s rally, outscoring the Indians 6-1 the rest of the way on their way to the opening round win.
Souderton’s Seth Grossman made it a 3-1 game with a goal assisted by Luca Ferretti and Maxwell Ryon with 2:40 remaining in the opening period.
Matthew Cross (Luca Ferretti/Ryon assists) scored just over a minute into the second period and then Grossman found the net for his second goal of the game, using assists from Ryon and Nicholas Smith.
Downingtown West wasted no time before regaining the lead on a goal by Reed Surak with 8:52 remaining in the second period. It marked the beginning of a 3-0 burst to close out the period that was extended to 5-0 and an 8-3 Downingtown West lead before Nicholas Smith (Ryon assist) scored for the Indians. A goal by Aleks Kepiro closed out the scoring for both sides.
Downingtown West held a 42-35 advantage in shots.

The Colonials battled and held a 31-24 advantage in shots over the Longhorns, but they came up short.
Unionville led 2-0 after one period and 4-0 heading into the final period. It was a 5-0 game before the Colonials scored a pair of goals in the final 5:27 – the first by Charlie Spause with a Timothy Murphy assist and then a short-handed goal by Dylan Novitski (Jason Segal assist).
