CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 8, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1

The Titans used a balanced attack to earn the win in the battle of neighboring rivals, scoring seven unanswered goals after the Patriots knotted the score in the opening period.
DJ Lindenmuth put the Titans on the board three minutes into the game, using assists from Jake Stepp and Aidan Linso. Corey Kosick answered with a shorthanded goal for the Patriots late in the period, but Joey Slobodrian’s power play goal with 26 seconds remaining gave the Titans a lead they would not lose. Jeffrey Kvecher assisted on a goal that turned out to be the game-winner.
In the second period, the Titans received goals from Jake Kunkle and Kvecher – Kvecher’s on the power play – to go on top 4-1 heading into the final period. Sean Cutter assisted on Kvecher’s goal.
Ryan Frey (Cutter assist), Colin Mendham (Linso/Alex Cannon assists), Jake Stepp and Kvecher (Linso/Logan Hood assists) each scored a goal in the third period for the 8-1 final.
Dominic Varacallo turned away 13 of 14 shots he faced to earn the win in goal.

SOUDERTON 9, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 8 (OT)

Benjamin Fadden found the net with a power play goal with 4:03 remaining in overtime, bringing to a dramatic end a wild SHSHL contest at Hatfield Ice. Nicholas Smith and Seth Grossman provided assists on the game-winner.
The Bucks needed a heroic comeback to send the game to overtime. Trailing 8-6, West’s John Misoda made it a one-goal game with 1:11 remaining in regulation, scoring with an assist from Zane Sanders. Sanders (Anthony Dowd assist) knotted the score in dramatic fashion, scoring with 28 seconds remaining to send the game to OT.
Early on, the Indians had the upper hand, racing out of the gate to a 3-0 lead. Scoring goals for the Indians were Seth Grossman (Maxwell Ryon assist), Luca Ferretti (Caden O’Neill/Sean Ryon assists) and Ryon (Grossman assist). Nicholas Bruno put the Bucks on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal with 24 seconds remaining in the opening period.
In the second period, Adam Ricci scored back-to-back goals to knot the score – the first with a Bruno assist and the second unassisted. Grossman (Matthew Cross/Cameron Fairweather assists) and Jacob Chow (Ferretti assist) scored back-to-back goals to send the Indians into the final period with a 5-3 advantage.
West rallied to knot the score in the opening minutes of the period, the first goal by Dowd (Ricci assist) and the second by Bruno (Dowd assist). A goal by Maxwell Ryon (Smith assist) put the Indians on top, but Dowd answered with the tying goal, using a Brandon March assist.
The Indians appeared to be in control, thanks to goals by Grossman (Chow assist) and Maxwell Ryon (Malanga/Caden O’Neill assists) with Ryon’s goal coming with 1:48 remaining in regulation. That 8-6 lead turned out to be anything but secure as the Bucks rallied to even the score.
Grossman’s five-point night – which included three goals and two assists – led the Indians. Maxwell Ryon added three goals and one assist. Dowd’s two-goal, two-assist effort led the Bucks.
Souderton held a 46-25 advantage in shots, an advantage that was negated by the 37-save effort of Isaac Mays.

PENNRIDGE 7, NESHAMINY 0
The Rams upped their record to a perfect 8-0, thanks to their shutout win over the Redskins. The win would have been a whole lot more decisive had it not been for the 70-save effort of Neshaminy goalie Cory Hemberger. The Rams had a 77-15 advantage in shots. Jacob Winton was perfect in goal, turning away all 15 shots he faced in a winning effort.
Joshua Kelly scored a goal that turned out to be the game-winner in the opening minute of the game, using assists from Dhilan Howard and Nathan McKean. A goal by Shane Dachowski with an Andrew Savona assist gave the Rams a 2-0 lead after one period.
In the second period, Andrew Savona – whose four-point game led the Rams - scored with assists from Kevin Pico and Shane Dachowski, and less than two minutes later James Embert scored a shorthanded goal, using a Nolan Shaw assist. Back-to-back goals by Savona – the first with assists from Pico and Tyler Manto and the second assisted by Pico - sent the Rams into the final period with a 6-0 lead.
Ryan Mikulich scored in the final minute of the third period, using assists from Colin Dachowski and Nolan Shaw.

ABINGTON 7, WISSAHICKON 5

In a game of runs, it was the Ghosts closing out the game with a 4-0 run, turning a 5-3 deficit into a 7-5 win. Michael Romano’s four-goal effort led Abington.
The first period belonged to the Ghosts – or more specifically Romano, whose three goals propelled Abington to a 3-0 advantage. Seamus Donofry contributed an assist on the first, and he also had an assist on the second along with Shane Meltzer. Samuel Abramson assisted on the third.
The Trojans owned the second period, reeling off five unanswered goals to go on top 5-3. Daniel Hussa was the catalyst, scoring three goals, the first two unassisted and the third assisted by Joseph Gambino IV. Gambino also had a pair of goals in the run – the first assisted by Jaxson Shandler. Abington’s Jude Large (Devin Bates assist) scored a goal with 5:49 remaining in the period to bring an end to the Trojans’ run.
The third period was all Abington with goals by Romano (Abramson/Bates assists), Large (Marcus Paulik assist) and Donofry (Meltzer assist).
Abington’s Devin Brown earned the win in goal, turning away 23 shots.

NORTH PENN 8, PENNSBURY 2
The Knights took a 3-2 lead into the third period when they erupted for five unanswered goals on their way to the win.
Jared Swope (Jacob Sarver/Logan Doyle assists) gave the Falcons an early 1-0 lead, but North Penn’s Cole Pluck evened the score less than a minute later, using assists from John Stinson and Ryan Patenaude.
The Knights broke the 1-1 tie when Pluck scored early in the second period, using a Nolan Shingle assist. That lead grew to 3-1 when Derek Delong scored with assists from Pluck and Shingle. Jacob Sarver (Kevin DeRosa assist) scored to make it a 3-2 game after two periods.
Samuel Norton (Shingle assist) started the Knights’ 5-0 run that included goals by Christopher Silvotti IV (Harris Hunsberger assist), James Boyle, Luke Haftel (Samuel Norton/Silvotti) and Daniel Cabrales (Hunsberger/Patenaude assists).
Pluck (2 goals, 1 assist) and Shingle (3 assists) both had 3-point games to lead the Knights.
Maks-Joseph Harkins recorded 25 saves in a winning effort in goal for the Knights, who improved to 4-2.

Jeffrey Kvecher’s four-point game – which included a goal and three assists - led a balanced Titan attack in Wednesday’s decisive win.
Keith Waldron scored with a Kvecher assist to give the Titans an early 1-0 lead. Alex Cannon followed with a goal that turned out to be the game-winner less than a minute later, using a Brennan Thierolf assist. DJ Lindenmuth (Joey Slobodrian assist) and Ryan Frey (Ryan Montagna assist) each added a goal to put the Titans on top 4-0 after one period.
The Titans’ lead grew to 7-0 after back-to-back goals by Frey (Sean Cutter/Aidan Linso assists), Waldron (Kvecher assist) and Cutter (Montagna assist).
Drew Borden brought an end to the Titans’ run with an unassisted goal early in the third period. The Titans answered with goals by Logan Hood, Cutter and Kvecher to close out the game.
Nathan Napolitano stopped 14 of 15 shots he faced in goal to earn the win.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 14, SOUDERTON 4
Chase Tovsky and Jake Weiner both had six-point games to lead the Golden Hawks, who improved to 7-0 on the season. Tovsky finished with three goals and three assists while Weiner had two goals and four assists.
The Golden Hawks seized control of this one early, opening up a 6-0 lead after one quarter. Gavin Nisenzon scored a pair of goals while James Diliulio, Illia Mukhin, Chase Tovsky and Peter Pereborow each added single goals.
Nisenzon scored a pair of goals and added two assists in a four-point effort. Mukhin also had a four-point game with a goal and three assists. Dilulio had a three-point game with two goals and an assist. Contributing two points each were Daniel Filippov (2 assists), Ilya Kudzinau (2 assists), Blaize Pepe (2 assists) and Peter Pereborow (1 goal, 1 assist). Jake Maurer, Kevin Koles and Jeremy Rayher each contributed one goal.
For the Indians Patrick Callahan, Nicholas Smith, Seth Grossman and Matthew Cross each had one goal while Connor Paulus, Jackson Kelly, Luca Ferretti and Cameron Fairweather all had an assist.

PENNRIDGE 11, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 1
Shane Dachowski, Kevin Pico and Andrew Savona have been a triple threat for opponents this season, and the trio was back at it again against the Bucks. Dachowski’s six-point game led the Rams and included five assists and one goal while Savona (2 goals, 3 assists) and Pico (2 goals, 3 assists) each had five-point games.
The Rams outshot the Bucks 19-2 in the opening period but had just a two-goal lead, thanks to the 17-save effort of West goalie Isaac Mays. James Rush accounted for both of West’s goals – the first on a power play with assists from Pico and Dachowski and the second with assists from Savona and Pico.
In the second period, Rush completed his hat trick, using a Nicholas Young assist on his third goal. Colin Dachowski (Rush/Shane Dachowski assists) and Pico (Salvatore Daquino assists) each added a goal to put the Rams on top 5-0.
Back-to-back-to-back goals by Savona, Ian Brouse and Shane Dachowski to open the third period put the Rams on top 8-0 before West’s Nicholas Bruno scored with an assist from Anthony Dowd. The Rams closed it out with goals from Savona and Pico.
Jacob Winton earned the win in goal, turning away 36 of 37 shots. Mays was credited with 47 saves for the Bucks.
