HATBORO-HORSHAM 6, QUAKERTOWN 0
The Hatters don’t need to score a whole lot of runs to get in the win column these days, thanks to pitchers who have been lights out the past two weeks. On Thursday, the Hatters picked up their fourth win in a row, earning their second shutout in three games.
The Hatters, who also have been playing outstanding defense, did not commit an error on Thursday. Over the last two weeks, the Hatters have played 34 innings and allowed just two runs in that time, only one of which was earned. The team boasts an ERA of 1.64 in SOL Continental Conference play and 1.78 in all games played.
On Thursday, it was the duo of Kevin Barron and Colin Kennedy working their magic on the mound, combining to toss seven scoreless innings. Barron earned the win, going five innings and allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out seven. Kennedy threw the final two innings, allowing just one hit.
Alex Kleidon, Chris Crookham and Justin Gregorio led the Hatters’ offense. Kleidon was 2-for-3 with a run scored and RBI. Crookham was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Justin Gregorio was 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBIs.
For the Panthers, Jake Reed was 2-for-3. Sage Fuhrmeister absorbed the loss.
The Hatters are 4-2 in league play (6-3 overall) while the Panthers fell to 0-5 in the league (1-5 overall).

NORTH PENN 8, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 7
The Knights needed some late-game heroics to earn the come-from-behind win, plating three runs in the seventh inning  - all without the benefit of a hit. With two outs, Brandon Heggan scored the game winner on a wild pitch in an inning that saw the Knights benefit from three walks, a hit batter and a pair of wild pitches.
The Bucks actually held an 11-8 advantage in hits. Leadoff batter Robert Phillips was a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Steve Gebre was 3-for-4 with one run, and Sean Loughery was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Mason Nadeau led the Knights’ attack with a 3-for-3 effort that included a triple, RBI and one run scored. Anthony Cameron was 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs.
James Witner earned the win on the mound for the Knights, working 3.2 innings and allowing four hits and one run. He walked five and struck out one on a day that saw the pitchers for the two squads combine for 12 walks – six by each side.
The Knights improved to 4-2 in league play (5-3 overall) while the Bucks are 3-3 in the league (4-3 overall).

PENNRIDGE 5, SOUDERTON 1
Pennridge took an early lead, plating a single run in the first. The Rams added a single run in the third and all but sealed the Indians’ fate with a three-run fifth. The Indians scored their only run in the fifth.
Evan Tice scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly by Dave Tatoian, who finished with two RBIs. Brad Misialek also drove in a pair of runs, and Tyler Shoultes had one RBI.
The Rams received big performances from Dan Shane (2-for-3, double, two runs) and Evan Tice (2-for-2, two runs).  Tom Nuneviller also had a double.
For the Indians, Brett Hale was 3-for-3, and Micah Plank was 2-for-3. Jason Smith drove in Souderton’s only run.
Ryan Denner earned the win on the mound, working five innings and allowing four hits and one run. Joe Molettiere and Dan Long combined to throw two scoreless innings in relief.
Dan Heilemann was charged with the loss for the Indians, who are 3-3 in league play (4-5 overall). The Rams are also 3-3 in the league (4-3 overall).

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 5, HARRY S TRUMAN 2
The two teams combined for just seven hits with the Indians collecting four of those, but the Indians benefitted from nine Truman errors to earn the league win.
Rock North went on top 2-0 in the bottom of the first, sparked by a sacrifice fly from Brandon McIlwain and an RBI single from J.R. Hicks. The Tigers cut that lead in half when Matt Helbling delivered an RBI single in to the top of the third. The Indians answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning, and the Tigers would get no closer than three the rest of the way.
No player from either team had multiple hits. McIlwain had a pair of RBIs.
The Indians upped their record to 4-2 in league play (5-2 overall) while the Tigers fell to 1-5 in the league (1-9 overall).

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 9, PENNSBURY 2

WILLIAM TENNENT 8, UPPER MORELAND 2
Nick Cataldi had a pair of hits and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Panthers’ offense. Tim Brodhag also had a pair of hits while Bobby Day had a hit and one RBI.
The Panthers took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the third only to watch the Golden Bears plate single runs in the bottom of both the third and fourth innings to knot the score. Tennent went ahead with a run in the fifth and then began to seize control with a three-run sixth. The Panthers closed it out with a two-run seventh for the impressive non-league win.
Brandon Tocce earned the win on the mound, allowing three hits and two runs – both unearned – while walking three and striking out four. Stephen Hatala earned the save, allowing no hits and no runs over the final three innings. He walked one and fanned six in an impressive stint on the mound.
Tommy Robinson went the distance for the Golden Bears, allowing nine eights while walking six and striking out seven.
The Panthers are 2-5 on the season while the Golden Bears are 4-4.

ST JOE’S PREP 5, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 2
The Titans managed just four hits in Thursday’s non-league loss to the Prep. Tanner Pfendner accounted for two of those and also drove in a run. With the loss, South falls to 3-5.

EMMAUS 5, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1
The Patriots took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Collin Sheehan delivered an RBI double, but the Green Hornets scored two runs in the third inning and never looked back on their way to the non-league win.
Dalton Smoot absorbed the loss for the Patriots, who are 5-3 overall.
