SOL Baseball Wrap (4-29-15)

CB South and North Penn were winners in SOL baseball action Wednesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 5, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3
Danny Klepchick struck out nine and walked two while allowing just three hits in a standout effort on the mound. The Titans’ hurler was victimized by five errors, resulting in three unearned runs. Daniel McCartin worked a scoreless seventh to earn the save. He struck out a pair on a day that saw the Titans’ duo combine for 11 strikeouts.
The Titans exploded for all five of their runs in the fourth. Mike Anastasia’s two-run single highlighted a frame that also included a sacrifice fly from Mike Goldsworthy and RBI singles by Eric Gross and Alex Happ.
The Panthers plated all three of their runs in a sixth inning that included just one hit – a single by Matt Peralta.
Anastasia led the Titans with a 3-for-4 day that included two RBIs and a run scored. Peralta had two of the Bucks’ three hits, finishing 2-for-4 with a run scored.
Central Bucks South (6-6, 3-6 SOL) will travel to Pennridge on Thursday while Central Bucks West (3-10, 1-8) will be at Souderton.

NORTH PENN 11, QUAKERTOWN 1
Kellen Williamson gave the Knights five strong innings to earn the win on the mound, allowing one earned run. Zach Coll pitched a scoreless sixth, and Michael Pulli threw a scoreless seventh to close it out for the Knights.
The Knights scored two runs in each of the first three innings while the Panthers managed just a first inning run. North Penn led 7-1 after four innings and then tacked on three more runs in the sixth and one in the seventh.
Mason Nadeau was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple, RBI and two runs scored. Doug Apple was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs while Kadar Namey was 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs.
Quakertown was led by the 3-for-4 effort of Jared Kishbaugh. Tyler Guidos and Travis Woolfenden each had RBIs.
North Penn (9-2, 7-2) will host Parkland in a non-league game Thursday at 4 p.m. On Friday, the Knights will face Quakertown (4-9, 2-7) in in Community Knight at the Ballpark at Hostelley Field (7 p.m.).
