AVON GROVE 9, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 8 (OT)
Central Bucks East lost in overtime to Avon Grove in a non-league game Saturday afternoon at War Memorial.  East opened the scoring and struck first with 1:22 remaining in the first and had a 1-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Red Devils owned the second scoring 5 goals and taking a 5-3 lead into halftime.  In the second half, the Patriots refused to give up as the Red Devils pumped one more goal in to take a 6-3 lead.  The third quarter was a chess match and a defensive struggle with both teams having opportunities to score. Sean McGovern (20 saves) kept the Patriots in the contest as both teams added just one goal to their tallies.  In the fourth quarter, the Patriots battled back and scored three goals in a span of four minutes.  Anthony Casselli tied the game on an excellent feed from Matt Schmidt with 16 seconds left to send the contest into overtime.  In overtime, the Red Devils won the faceoff and advanced the ball into the box where Avon Grove coach Eric Jackson called for a time out with 3:53 in the overtime.  Avon Grove called a play in the settled situation and found the matchup they wanted.  At 3:23, Avon Grove’s Bryce Reid scored the game winner on a dodge in man-to-man coverage. 
Casselli led the Patriots led with three goals while Matt Milici had two goals and one assist. Zach Kane (one assist), Matt Heim and Matt Brown each added single goals. Matt Schmidt had two assists and Geoff Kuhn had one assist.
Cole Rushworth won six of 20 face offs. Pete Donavan led the defense with five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Tyler Butler had three ground balls and three caused turnovers, and Dustin Buchanan had three caused turnovers. Matt Heim and Cole Rushworth each had three ground balls.
Bryce Reid (four goals) and Tanner Peck (four goals, two assists) led Avon Grove.
While East fell to 8-1 (4-0 in SOL), Avon Grove improved to 8-0.

RIDLEY 7, WISSAHICKON 3
The Trojans battled the Green Raiders to a 1-1 tie at the end of one quarter. Ridley took a lead it would not lose with two goals in the second and three more in the third.
Pat Magdalinski, Luke Gomez and Tommy Monaghan each had one goal for the Trojans. Tyler Freas was credited with six saves.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 8, HARRITON 3
The Titans won Saturday’s non-league contest with a five-goal explosion in the fourth quarter, turning a 3-3 tie into the impressive win. The two teams were deadlocked 1-1 at the end of one quarter. The Titans scored a pair in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 3-1 lead only to watch the Rams rally to knot the score with two third-quarter goals.
Jake Henze had a five-point day to lead the Titans, contributing two goals and three assists. Ty Strayline had the hat trick while Tom DiBrino had two goals and AJ Caputo, one goal. Brendan McGrath (two assists) and Matt Mignona (one assist) also contributed to the scoring.
Ryan Kelly turned away seven shots for the Titans, who improved to 7-2 on the season.

UPPER MERION 13, STRATH HAVEN 12
Mikey Zadroga scored a team-high eight goals and Trevor Kupecky had three goals and four assists to lead the Vikings to the tightly-contested non-league win Saturday. Joe Mintzer added one goal and one assist, and Nick Shendge added one goal.
Upper Merion goalie Troy Minnich turned away 14 shots.
