Things suddenly got real interesting in the SOL American Conference.
 PW’s win over the Trojans ensured that, setting the stage for a huge showdown on Tuesday night when Wissahickon will travel to Upper Merion. The Vikings – thanks to PW’s win – trail the Trojans by just one game.
According to Trojan coach Anthony Gabriele, PW took an early lead and dominated the majority of the game. The Trojans battled back to knot the score, but missed opportunities and shots late in the game halted the comeback.
The Colonials were led by the three-goal effort of Zack Schulman while Shawn Kaplan, Colin Joka, Pat Nolan and Andrew Cox each added a pair. Kaplan also had four assists, and Nolan had a pair. Shane Isett and Ryan Lewis both contributed an assist.
Brian Dick led the Trojans with three goals while Nick Lucchesi added two goals and one assist. The Trojans received single goals from Garrett Rosiek, Shane Ziegler, A.J. Andersen, Jeff Gebert and Sean Delaney. Rosiek also had a pair of assists while Ziegler and Brian Frankenfield each had one assist.
PW goalie Kevin Hennessey turned away 19 shots. Sean Smith had eight saves for the Trojans.
