The Eagles notched their first win of the year on Monday. Goalie Mike Malloy had 10 saves in the shutout while James Slavo and Griffin Blake also turned in standout defensive performances.
Shane Franzone was unstoppable on attack, contributing nine goals and one assist. Dan Staufenberg had 10 assists. Jake Naseef had two goals while Sean Calhoun closed out the scoring with one goal and one assist.
Abington 15, Council Rock North 6
Matt Rambo contributed five goals and one assist while Joey Jones had three goals and three assists. Ryan Ambler added two goals and five assists, and Matt Figueroa, Austin Pufani, Gus Greenberg, Nick Pisko and Dan Lomady each added single goals. Jones also had three assists while Pufani had one assist.
The Ghosts opened up a 6-1 lead at the end of one quarter and extended that lead to 16-2 by halftime.
The Golden Hawks received scoring from Shablin (three goals) and Gifford (three goals, one assist) while Attonsio had a pair of assists.
