SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (3-21-24)

SOL American Conference

Pennridge 3, Upper Dublin 0
Pennridge opened its season with a straight-sets (25-22, 25-16, 25-22) win over American Conference foe Upper Dublin on Thursday.
Evan Jalosinski dished out 30 assists in the victory for the Rams. Jude Rotondo had 11 kills, 5 digs, and 4 blocks, while Bryce Ammon added 10 kills and 6 digs. Logan Jalosinski picked up 8 kills, 6 digs, 2 aces, and 2 blocks, Chris Cullen had 6 kills (.500) and 2 blocks, while Aaron Ladd served 4 aces and added 4 digs and 2 blocks.
The Rams (1-0, 1-0) visit North Penn at 6:30 pm Tuesday. Upper Dublin moves to 0-1, 1-1, and will participate in a Saturday tournament before returning to Suburban One play hosting North Penn at 6 pm Monday.

Souderton 3, Quakertown 1
Kelly Kim dished out 36 assists and added 10 digs to spark Souderton to a 3-1 victory over Quakertown in Thursday’s American Conference matchup.
Derek Stefanowicz contributed 16 kills and 11 digs, while Everett Self had 12 kills and 12 digs. Connor Basile recorded 18 digs and served 3 aces, while Sawyer Jones picked up 6 blocks.
Souderton improves to 1-1 in American Conference play, 1-2 overall. The Indians will visit Spring-Ford at 6:30 pm Monday. Quakertown (0-1, 0-1) will visit Easton Area High School for an 8:30 am Saturday matchup.

SOL National Conference

Pennsbury 3, Neshaminy 1 (25-15, 25-17, 19-25, 25-23)
The Falcons picked up their third win of the season without a loss, defeating their neighboring rival in four sets.
For the Redskins, Dan Berzin racked up 15 kills, 11 digs, 4 blocks, and 2 aces. El-Mansur Sagalive dished out 33 assists to go along with 2 aces, 2 kills, 4 digs, and 2 blocks.
Beknazar Baiyshbekov had 4 aces, 11 kills, 12 digs, and 2 assists for the Redskins. Nurislam Urkunbaev recorded 8 kills and 2 digs. The Redskins also got strong efforts from Vraj Amin (1 kill, 6 digs), Ruhan Jaikaria (14 digs, 2 assists), Ryan Shedaker (1 kill), Arlan Zharrasov (1 kill, 2 blocks), and Jake Giuliana (1 block).
Pennsbury improves to 1-0 in National Conference play, 3-0 overall. The Falcons will take on Cheltenham at 4:30 pm on April 2. Neshaminy falls to 0-1, 1-1, and will look to get back in the winning column hosting Central Bucks East at 5 pm Monday.
