SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (3-22-19)

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-17)
Dylan Colbert picked up where he left off last year, turning in a standout effort to lead the Patriots in their sweep of the Golden Hawks. The all-state outside hitter contributed 16 kills, six aces and seven digs. Jacob Labouliere added eight kills, five digs and two aces.
East’s attack was directed by setter Steve Storm, who had 30 assists, two aces and three digs. East was strong in the middle with Christian Wolf and Thomas Gallagher-Teske recording five and four kills respectively. Libero Ryan Figus picked up eight digs, and Jack Miller contributed a kill and three digs. CJ Dalby added two kills, a block and a dig.

QUAKERTOWN 3, LA SALLE 2 (24-26, 25-21, 27-29, 25-19, 15-18)
It took five grueling sets, but the Panthers emerged with the hard fought win over the Explorers in Friday’s non-league opener.
Justin Flor turned in a monster performance at the net, delivering 21 kills to go along with seven digs and one block. Zach Frei added 13 kills and one ace while Cameron Crock had 11 kills, five digs and one ace. Nathan Barkholz had five kills, five aces, nine digs and two blocks, and Ryan DiCandilo added four kills and one block. Setting the table for the Panthers’ big night at the net was setter Ty Fosbenner, who had 51 assists to go along with four kills, four blocks and one ace. Also contributing were Seth Wesley (one kill, one ace, one dig), Jake Berton (three digs, one block), Ryan Galloway (one ace, two digs), Nathan Gingrich (two digs).

UPPER DUBLIN 3, UNIONVILLE 0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-14)
The Flying Cardinals rolled to a sweep of the Indians in Friday’s non-league opener.
Matt Ross led the Cardinals at the net with 14 kills and three blocks to go along with three aces and four digs. Mario Petushi added seven kills (.636 hitting percentage), seven aces, three assists and 11 digs in a strong all-around outing. Alec Madden contributed five kills and three blocks, and Joey Levin had four kills and two blocks. David Levin (15 assists, four digs) and Devin O’Brien (15 assists, two aces, three digs) split setting duties.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, CHELTENHAM 0 (25-7, 25-11, 25-11)
The Titans opened their season with a sweep of the Panthers. Aidan O'Brien led the offense with eight kills and five blocks.  Mason Zeo led the defense with six digs.  Setters Andrew Rubas and Brandon Wisniewski had 13 and nine assists, respectively.  Sophomore Killian Fabiscewski in his first varsity match led the team at the service line scoring 18 points with three aces.
