SOL National Conference

PENNSBURY 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-14)
The Falcons received contributions up and down their lineup in their sweep of the Golden Hawks. The win was their fourth in as many games.
Jake Bucksar (13, assists, 3 digs) and Kieran Shaw (11 assists, 2 kills, 1 dig) shared setting duties. Nathan Knapp led the attack with 11 kills (.296 hitting percentage). Josh Flax added eight kills (.333 hitting percentage), two aces, two digs and one block. Ben Bedard led the Falcons’ defense with 14 digs to go along with two assists and three aces. Also contributing were Brian Drewes (4 kills, 5 digs), Billy Cavanagh (3 kills, .750 hitting percentage), Anthony Klyuchynyk (1 kill, 1 ace), Jayce Secoda (1 block), Deaglan Cavanagh (1 ace)
Pennsbury (4-0, 3-0 SOL) will travel to Cheltenham on Tuesday, and Council Rock South (0-3) will travel to Bensalem on Tuesday.

Non-league
UPPER DUBLIN 3, ABINGTON 0

The Flying Cardinals used a balanced attack at the net to defeat the visiting Ghosts in non-league action.
Landon Kullmann led way with 11 kills to go along with seven digs. Gabe Copley added seven kills and one block while Terrell Turner and Zakary Brown both had six kills. Turner also had a pair of aces. Ari Weiner and Dominick Plaku both had 10 digs to lead the defense while Campbell Heckler had eight digs. Weiner also had a pair of aces. Cory Pendleton (16 assists, nine digs, one kill) and Cole Brown (nine assists, one dig) also contributed.
“Upper Dublin had a very solid offense with two monster middles - the defense and serve was super tough and contributed to the win for an already strong team,” Abington coach Maddy Robinson said.Abington played tough against a very tough serving Upper Dublin team.”
Jack Scharnikow led Abington's serving offense with a 90 percent serving average and six digs. Kai Savadove contributed three blocks in the middle, two kills, and two aces. Zach Miller again led the offense with 10 kills and 11 digs on defense. Brendan Dougherty racked up three kills along with 10 assists, and Max Brahler added six more assists. Danyel Mayo got four kills from the middle.

Upper Dublin (2-1, 1-1 SOL) will host Central Bucks East on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., and Abington (1-4, 1-2) will host William Tennent Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

NORTH PENN 3, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 2 (25-17, 10-25, 26-20, 15-25, 15-12)
A resilient Knights’ squad won a five-set thriller over the visiting Crusaders.
Senior outside hitter Caleb An led the Knights with 16 kills and eight digs. Sophomore middle hitter Jack Woodland pitched in with 11 kills and four blocks. Senior libero Ryan Huang anchored the defense with 29 digs.
North Penn (1-2, 0-2 SOL) will host Quakertown on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, WISSAHICKON 0 (25-9, 25-16, 25-19)
The Bucks earned a sweep of the Trojans in a non-league contest Monday.
Caleb Woodring led the defense and a strong service game with nine digs and six aces. Cooper Tyksinski led the way at the net with 10 kills. Dean Nguyen added five kills, and Hayden Morocco had three. Setter Liam Boyle was credited with 19 assists.
Central Bucks West (2-2, 1-1 SOL) will host Souderton on Tuesday, and Wissahickon (1-1) will host Roman Catholic in a non-league match Wednesday.
