SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (3-27/28-14)

NORTH PENN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST (25-16, 25-21, 25-14)
The Knights rebounded from their loss to Central Bucks West in their SOL opener Tuesday to sweep CB East on Friday.
Kyle Sucro had a huge night at the net, contributing 18 kills to go along with one block and one ace. Gabe Stoler (seven kills, two blocks, three aces) and Eric Mellman (five kills, one assist) also had big games at the net. Setter Mark Elias was credited with 32 assists to go along with one kill and one ace. Jake Walters (two kills), Darsh Bhalodia (two kills), Connor Sloan (one kill) and Nate Maleckey (one ace) also contributed.

SOUDERTON 3, UPPER DUBLIN 0 (25-19, 25-11, 25-14)
Evan Miller led the Indians with 12 kills, seven blocks and four aces. Alex Androkites had six kills and four digs, and Sam Hess had five kills. Justin Rodzewich had six digs. Setter Jordan Rawa had 23 assists.

PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-17)
Kolby Smith (seven kills, three aces), Ben Chinnici (six kills, five digs, two aces) and Alex Vellner (six kills, five digs, two aces) led a balanced Ram attack. Vince Kauders added two kills, four aces and one block, Brian Rosenberg had three kills, and setter Brad Nase had 30 assists.

Thursday, March 27
NESHAMINY 3, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 1 (25-23, 17-25, 25-18, 25-15)
The Redskins earned the important win in an exciting battle of the neighboring rivals.
Neshaminy setter Chase Fullen was credited with 34 assists, seven kills and three aces. Ryan Jamison had a huge night at the net, contributing 18 kills and three blocks to go along with two aces and eight digs. Mike Gulla had six kills and two blocks. Steve Compton (five kills, eight digs) and Jake Murray (five kills, two aces) also made important contributions. JP Day led the Redskins’ defense with 11 digs.
For the Indians, Nick Reich (six kills, two blocks, three digs, one ace), Josh Hinton (six kills, eight digs, one block, one ace), Austin Fuglestad (six kills, 12 digs, two blocks), and Aidan LeClair (five kills, 3.5 blocks) led the way. Will Stollsteimer added six kills. Andy Van Thuyne led the defense with 17 digs to go along with one ace. Dalton Abrahamsen (20 assists, 13 digs) and Logan Fuglestad (10 assists, three digs) shared setting duties.
The Redskins improve to 2-0 in league play (3-0 overall) while the Indians are 0-1 in the league (0-2 overall).

PENNSBURY 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 2 (24-26, 25-27, 25-19, 25-11, 15-8)
The Falcons won a thriller over the Panthers in Thursday’s SOL contest. Pennsbury senior setter Jeff Yasalonis had 40 assists, four kills, one ace, 12 digs and two blocks in a solid all-around outing. Alex Reilley led the Falcons at the net with 14 kills to go along with two aces, seven digs and two blocks. John Killoran had nine kills, three aces, nine digs and four blocks. 
Daniel Gonzalez led the Falcons’ defense with 18 digs. Also making important contributions for the Falcons were Drew Ettlinger (seven kills, five digs, three blocks), Alec Foerster (five kills, one ace, two digs, four blocks), David Levey (six kills) and Kyle Navroth (three kills, five digs and one block).

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH (28-26, 25-21, 25-22)
The Golden Hawks won three tightly contested games to earn a sweep of the Titans. Christian Zastazny was a one-man wrecking crew for the Hawks, finishing the match with 27 kills, two aces and two blocks. Nick Christodoulou had five aces.
