SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (3-28-17)

UPPER DUBLIN 3, ABINGTON 1 (30-28, 23-25, 25-21, 25-18)
The Flying Cardinals won a marathon opening set and went on to defeat the Ghosts in four sets in the tightly-contested match.
Albert Sungenis had a huge game for the Cards, finishing with 16 kills, 12 digs and one ace. Jose Palomeque led the defense with 30 digs to go along with two assists and one ace. Joe Choi added 18 digs and two kills. Setter Ryan Howie had 30 assists, one ace, two kills, one block and five digs.
Also making important contributions for the Cardinals were Blake Bayles (two kills, five bocks, one dig), Grant Malloy (two kills, three blocks, one dig), Isaac Gold (three kills), Matt Ross (seven kills), Michael Cummins (three kills, one block, two digs) and Troy Gomer (seven digs).
For the Ghosts, Cole Santora (eight kills, five digs) and Shane Collins (nine kills, two blocks) led the way at the net. TJ Dougherty had 14 digs, and setter Daniel Rodriguez also had 14 digs to go along with 28 assists and two blocks.

LANSDALE CATHOLIC 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 2 (25-19, 12-25, 28-26, 14-26, 15-9)
Shane Slivinski (14 kills, 19 digs) and Andrew Richards (13 kills, 15 digs) both put up impressive number for the Golden Hawks, who fell in five sets to the Crusaders. Jack Geiger added five kills and three blocks. Dane Paulson (13 digs) and Harrison Cantor (12 digs) also turned in double-figure dig performances. TJ Rodman had eight digs.
