SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (3-31-14)

PENNSBURY 3, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 2 (20-25, 27-25, 25-13, 24-26, 15-13)
Fans have come to expect great matches when the neighboring rivals do battle on the volleyball court, and the two teams did not disappoint as the Falcons eked out the hard-fought win on Monday night.
Senior setter Jeff Yasalonis had a big night for the Falcons, contributing 55 assists, five kills (.556 hitting efficiency), three aces, 11 digs and one block. John Killoran had 21 kills (.296 hitting efficiency), two assists, 17 digs and one block while Alex Reilly added 12 kills, one ace and 26 digs. Daniel Gonzalez had 16 digs, and Drew Ettlinger added nine kills (.412 hitting efficiency), two aces, seven digs and one block. Alec Foerster had seven kills (.400 hitting efficiency), three digs and two blocks. David Levey had nine kills, seven digs and one block, and Kyle Navroth added six digs.
For the Indians, Nick Reich (14 kills, two blocks), Josh Hinton (13 kills, 15 digs, one ace) and Aidan LeClair (eight blocks, three kills) had big nights at the net. Andy Van Thuyne led the defense with 18 digs while Logan Fulgestad had 11 digs and one ace and Dalton Abrahamsen had nine digs and two aces. Austin Fuglestad (eight kills, three blocks), Will Stollsteimer (six kills, 14 digs, one ace) and Matt Pine (three blocks, one kill) also contributed at the net. Will Deseutelle had 1.5 blocks and Rick DePaola added two digs.
The Indians will return to action on Wednesday when they will travel to Haverford.

NORTH PENN 3, UPPER DUBLIN 0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-15)
Kyle Sucro (15 kills, two aces, five digs) and Gabe Stoler (12 kills, one block assist) had big nights at the net for North Penn. Eric Mellman (seven kills, one assist, six digs) also made important contributions. Setter Mark Elias had 26 assists, one kill, one block and one ace. Jake Walters had two kills, seven blocks and one block assist, and Connor Sloan had four kills, one assist, one block and two aces. Pat Dallas added a kill.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (22-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-20)
For the Panthers, Josh Morgan had 14 kills, three blocks and seven assists, and Dylan Flor added 11 kills. Mike Dierolf (nine kills) and Lucas Schan (eight kills) also had big nights at the net. Setter Xavier Villanueva had 34 assists, and Nick Wesley led the defense with 11 digs.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-16)
For the Indians, Alex Androkites had seven kills and four digs while Justin Rodzewich had eight digs.

PENNRIDGE 3, Cheltenham 0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-22)
Vince Kauders (six kills, two blocks), Ben Chinnici (seven kills, seven digs, three blocks) and Kolby Smith (seven kills) led a balanced Ram attack. Max McVaugh contributed four kills and four digs, and Sam Handy had four kills and five digs. Brian Rosenberg added three kills for the Rams, who improved to 3-0 on the season.
The Rams will visit North Penn on Wednesday evening.

WILLIAM TENNENT 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0
The Panthers were led at the net by Jake Milnazik’s 10-kill performance while Dillon Cooney led the defense with 25 digs to go along with five aces.
