NESHAMINY 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-13)

The Redskins won their 10th match without a loss, using contributions from up and down their lineup in the conference win.

Contributing to the win were Josh Adler (1 ace, 1 dig, 1 block, 6 assists), Liam Smith (11 assists), Toby Kovaschetz (1 ace, 10 digs), Dan Berzin (1 ace, 7 kills, 1 dig, 1 assist), Jake Giuliana (2 aces, 1 kill, 6 assists), Beknazar Baiyshbekov (1 kill, 2 digs), Brandon Sloskey (6 kills, 5 digs, 1 block), Joey LaBella (6 aces, 5 kills, 3 digs), Jackson Young (1 kill, 1 block), John Nice (3 aces, 1 kill, 2 blocks) and Aiden Hastings (4 kills, 1 dig, 1 block, 1 assist)

Neshaminy (10-0, 6-0 SOL) will host William Tennent in a key contest on Tuesday, and Council Rock South (1-10, 1-8) will host Bensalem on Tuesday.

Non-league

ABINGTON 3, SOUDERTON 1 (25-27, 25-18, 25-17, 25-15)

The Ghosts dropped the first set but then won the next three to earn the non-league win.

“We had some serving issues in the first set, but I felt that we played a consistent and aggressive match the rest of the way,” Abington coach Jason Barshinger said. “Patrick McBride did an excellent job stepping in at the libero position for us tonight.”

McBride had 15 digs to lead the Ghosts’ defense. Zach Miller’s 13 kills led the attack. He also had nine digs, three aces and three blocks. Xavier Voit added nine kills, one ace, two digs and 2.5 blocks. Also coming up big was Michael Lyou with a career best seven kills to go along with two blocks and one dig. Myles Winegrad added six kills, two aces, seven digs and .5 blocks. Setter Colin Mulvihill had 29 assists, four kills, two aces, one dig and three blocks. Ben Holler added two kills and nine digs. Jack Scharnikow (1 ace) and Joe Clark (1 kill, 1 block) also contributed.

For the Indians, JC Peacock had seven kills and Tobie Lias had five kills.

Abington (7-4, 2-4 SOL) will travel to Pennsbury on Wednesday, and Souderton (5-7, 5-3) will host Central Bucks East on Tuesday.

 

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, AVON GROVE 0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-12)

The Indians rolled to a sweep of the visiting Red Devils.

Setter Dylan VanSchaick had 26 assists, two aces, one block and three digs. Keertan Palayam (6 kills, 1 block), Anthony DePalo (5 kills, 2 aces, 3 digs), Brady Klein (5 kills, 3 digs, 3 aces) and Nick Alleborn (4 kills, 1 block) all contributed to a balanced attack.

Council Rock North (11-2, 6-1 SOL) will host Cheltenham on Tuesday.

 

LA SALLE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-21)

The visiting Titans lost to the Explorers in straight sets. 

Chris Kline led the offense (5 kills, 3 blocks, 4 digs, 1 ace, 1 assist). Will Tantum led the defense (13 digs, 2 aces), and Joe Sciscio led the blocking (4 blocks, 2 kills).

Central Bucks South (1-12, 0-8 SOL) will travel to Pennridge on Tuesday.
