National Conference

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (25-7, 25-20, 25-13)
Setter Nick Baniewicz had a busy night for the Indians, handing out 22 assists while also contributing four digs, two aces and one kill. Harry Wyatt led the Indians at the net with 12 kills to go along with one dig.
Also contributing for the Indians were Keven D’Arcy (five kills), Justin Walton (four kills), Alex Borman (four digs, one assist), Brady Haggerty (three kills, one dig), Sean Helmlinger (one kill, one dig, one ace), Eddie Mancinelli (two digs, one ace), Vytis Duncia (one kill), Sean D’Arcy (one kill) and Grant Shieh (one assist).

PENNSBURY 3, BENSALEM 0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-18)
The Falcons earned a sweep over the pesky Owls.
Louie Bavas led the way at the net with 11 kills and four digs. Sean Sweeney added seven kills, one assist, two aces, seven digs and one block. Danny Quay had four kills with a .500 hitting percentage, one dig and two blocks. Adam Hludzinski had five kills (.300 hitting percentage) and six blocks. Charlie Bluestein contributed eight digs and one ace. Setter Andy Delworth had 29 assists, two aces, one dig and one block. Justin Sadley had five kills and one block, and Brett Garretson had one kill and two digs.
For the Owls, Jake Conley’s eight kills and two blocks led the way. Philip Bui (five kills) and Greg Philip (four kills, two blocks) also made big plays at the net. Jay Tilvawala chipped in with three aces, and Ronak Shah had 14 assists and two kills.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, ABINGTON 1 (25-16, 26-28, 25-15, 25-21)
Jack Gieger had a big game at the net, leading the Golden Hawks with 14 kills, four blocks and three digs. Andrew Richards added six kills, two aces, two digs and one block. Jake Ferrara had six kills and 14 digs, sharing the team lead with Shane Slivinski, who also had 14 digs to go along with one kill. Setter Dane Paulson had 25 assists, five kills, four digs and two blocks. TJ Rodman added 11 digs.
For the Ghosts, TJ Dougherty led the way defensively with 17 digs. Cole Santora had five kills. Setter Roni Fishbein had 33 assists, five digs and two blocks. Daniel Gonzalez had a big night at the net with a game-high 20 kills.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-14)
The Bucks kept pace with the Patriots in the battle for supremacy in the Continental Conference, earning a sweep of the Panthers.
For the Panthers, Logan Spieker led the way with nine kills and two blocks. Josh Moyer had five kills and six digs. Justin Flor had three kills. Drew Stout handed out 14 assists to go along with two blocks. Zac Mahler had eight digs.

SOUDERTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-11)
The visiting Indians rolled to a sweep of the Titans.
“It started out back and fourth – we would get a point or two and they would get a point or two,” Souderton coach Dave Stastny said. “We were able to be more consistent as the set went on and won 25-19.
“We stayed consistent in the next two sets to win the match 3-0.”
Cam Hart led the Indians with nine kills. Ben Campman added 13 digs. Alex Zhang handed out 16 assists.
South setter Jake Monson had 11 assists. Senior Mark Macios, who has been handling the setting duties, took on a hitting role in Wednesday’s match, earning three kills and two blocks. First-year junior Dylan Moser recorded his first varsity kill.
“We knew this was going to be a tough match against a good opponent, and unfortunately, we were missing two starters tonight,” South coach Matt Ehlers said. “I was proud of the way the boys stepped up, continued to play hard, and we were able to work in some new players on the varsity.”

NORTH PENN 3, UPPER DUBLIN 1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-20, 25-21)
The Knights won for the third time in four matches on Wednesday.
“We were outplayed by a very motivated North Penn team,” UD coach Paul Choi said. “We did not take advantage of opportunities toward the end of the sets.”
The Knights were led by Bobby Dean with 18 kills, seven digs and four blocks. Hayden Rhoades added eight kills, three digs and one block. Alex Stoler had eight kills, one ace and five digs. Setter Ryan Ko had 27 assists, 11 digs, three blocks and one kill. Manan Patel's 13 digs led the defense.
For the Cardinals, Albert Sungenis had 13 kills, three blocks, five digs and three aces to lead the way. Setter Brandon Ross had 33 assists, one ace, two kills, six blocks and four digs. Jose Palomeque led the defense with 19 digs to go along with one assist. Liam Nielsenshultz had eight kills while Grant Molloy had five kills and seven blocks. Mario Petushi had five kills and three digs.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, CHELTENHAM 0
Wednesday’s match, according to coach Scott Geller, was about the newer and younger Patriots.  With a revised lineup and giving some of the veteran players a rest from a strenuous schedule the past week and a half, the Patriots showed their depth which is something they haven't had in quite some time, according to their coach.  
Without the usual weapons, Mason Miller (three assists) and Steven Storm (13 assists) were able to spread to ball to a diversified and well-balanced attack.  Karl Bandow led the patriots with nine kills.  Joey Bowen, Jared McKeon and Steven Storm all had three kills, and Trent Kenkels and Peter Chiravallo also contributed with one kill each.  Jacob LaBoulliere anchored the defense for the patriots with 10 digs.
“The coaching staff could not be more proud of these boys for how far along they've come since the beginning of the season,” Geller said.

Tuesday, April 25
NESHAMINY 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 1, (25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 25-21)
Tommy Edwards (20 kills, two digs, three blocks, one ace) and Shaun Kelly (12 kills, four digs) turned in huge games at the net for the ‘Skins, who earned the hard-fought win over their hosts.
“CR South never gave up and kept fighting,” Neshaminy coach Pat Klingerman said. “It is a true credit to their players and coaches for the program they are building.
“They played with a ton of heart, and we need to see that and try to match that with our team.”
Setters Steve Wenderlich (21 assists, nine digs and one ace) and Miguel Montalvo (19 assists) combined for 40 assists. Steve Reich had eight digs. Also contributing were Anthony Verrecchio (three kills, two blocks, one ace), Ben McGonagle (four kills, two digs), Tim Stressman (three kills, one block), Alex Swiderski (one dig) and Mike Muzyk (one block).
For the Golden Hawks, Jack Gieger (10 kills) and Shane Slivinski (six kills, 14 digs, three blocks, two aces) led the way at the net. Dane Paulson had 22 assists, 12 digs, four blocks and three kills. TJ Rodman led the Hawks defensively with 21 digs. Andrew Richards added eight kills, 14 digs and one ace.

NORTH PENN 3, CHELTENHAM 1 (25-15, 25-18, 23-25, 25-17)
In the Knights win over the Panthers, Kishan Davara (five kills, three blocks) and Tyler Rothmann (five kills, one ace, two digs, two blocks) led a balanced attack. Ethan Gimbert had three kills and one dig, and Zach Jayes added three kills.

PARKLAND 3, PENNRIDGE 0 (26-24, 25-21, 25-20)
Senior setter Josiah Friesen had 32 assists in Tuesday’s loss to a tough Parkland squad. Ben Chinicci was on the receiving end of many of those helpers, finishing with 20 kills, nine digs and two blocks. Cross Edwards added 10 kills and seven digs. Kevin Jones had three kills and three blocks. Zach Detweiler and Mike Molettiere each had four blocks. Ethan Lionetti had 12 digs to lead the defense.
