PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 2 (25-20, 23-25, 18-25, 28-26, 15-13)
The Rams battled back from a 2-1 deficit to earn the hard fought win.
“Although the Patriots came up a little short, it was a great match from start to finish, filled with great rallies and plays from both sides,” East coach Scott Geller said. “We learned a lot about ourselves tonight and welcome the rubber match in districts.”
Cross Edwards (20 kills, five digs, five blocks) and Ben Chinnici (20 kills, five digs, five blocks) had huge games at the net. Josiah Friesen had 23 assists, six digs and four blocks, and Corey Quaste had 23 assists. Danny Rutter (13 digs) and Jeremy Pruss (seven digs) made defensive contributions. Zach Detwiler added four kills and six blocks, and Kevin Jones had five kills and two blocks.
For the Patriots, Carter Haban (15 kills, four digs) and Dylan Colbert (16 kills, three aces, three digs) had big nights at the net. Andrew Bennett added two kills and eight digs, and Christian Wolf had five kills. Setter Mason Miller had 45 assists and three kills. Liam Creedon had 10 digs to lead the defense. Also contributing were Karl Bandlow with three kills and Peter Chiaravallo with three digs and one kill.

QUAKERTOWN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 2 (25-20, 25-11, 19-25, 23-25, 17-15)
The Titans battled back from a 2-0 deficit to even the match at two sets apiece only to see the Panthers eke out a win in the fifth and deciding set.
Graham Wilson (16 kills, three blocks, two aces) and Logan Spieker (12 kils, 10 digs, two blocks, three aces) led the Panthers. Justin Flor added eight kills and five assists while Josh Moyer had six kills and five digs. Setter Drew Stout had 35 assists and six digs, and Zac Mahler had 16 digs.
“This was a tale of two matches with Quakertown controlling the first two sets easily,” South coach Matt Ehlers said. “We gained some momentum and took the third and fourth sets, pushing the match to the deciding fifth set.
“We had momentum in the last set, but Quakertown made some well-timed plays to give them the victory. I was proud of the way these boys fought back after dropping the first two sets and truly believe we’ve played better than our record shows. I think it’s just a matter of breaking through one time to start to turn things around for us.”

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, LA SALLE 1 (25-15, 25-16, 19-25, 25-19)
Sean Helmlinger (14 kills, three aces, two digs, .5 blocks) and Harry Wyatt (13 kills, three aces, one dig) led the Indians at the net. Setter Nick Baniewicz had 44 assists, two digs and two kills. Alex Borman had seven digs, four assists and one ace. Jack Gunshenan (six kills, one ace, one block), Kevin D’Arcy (six kills, one block) and Brady Haggerty (six kills) also made important contributions at the net. Justin Walton added two kills, two digs and .5 blocks, Eddie Mancinelli had three digs and one ace, and Sean D’Arcy had one kill.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, BENSALEM 1 (31-29, 25-21, 17-25, 25-20)
The Golden Hawks survived a marathon first set and went on to defeat the pesky Owls.
Jack Geiger led the attack with 14 kills and four blocks. Shane Slivinski had nine kills, three blocks and 24 digs, and Andrew Richards had four kills and 22 digs. TJ Rodman also had 24 digs.
For the Owls, Ronak Shah had 48 assists. Joey Connley (22 kills) and Philip Bui (16 kills) both had big nights at the net. Shekib Ghafary added eight kills, and Greg Philip had seven kills, two blocks and two aces.

NESHAMINY 3, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 1 (25-18, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20)
The Redskins received contributions up and down their lineup. Shaun Kelly (17 kills, four digs, three blocks), Tommy Edwards (11 kills, three digs, one block) and Anthony Verrecchio (seven kills, two digs, one ace) led the way at the net. Setter Steve Wenderlich had 29 assists, three kills, six digs and three aces. Miguel Montalvo had seven assists. Leading the defense was Steve Reich with 19 digs and one ace. Also contributing were Ben McGonagle (three kills, one dig, two blocks), Tim Stressman (one kill, one block), Mike Muzyk (one kill, one block) and Albert Shen (one kills).

LANSDALE CATHOLIC 3, ABINGTON 1
Cole Santora led the Ghosts’ attack with 11 kills and eight digs. TJ Dougherty’s 24 digs led the defense. Setter Roni Fishbein had 25 assists and six digs. Daniel Gonzalez had 10 kills and seven digs, and Casey Stevenson had seven digs.
