SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (4-5-16)

PENNSBURY 3, BENSALEM 1 (25-15, 20-25, 25-13, 25-18)
Bensalem setter Ronak Patel had 27 assists, four digs, two aces, one block and one kills. The Owls were led offensively by Austin Sherel’s eight kills. Bhav Patel and Joey Conley both had five kills. Philip Bui and Shekib Ghafary each added four kills. Defensively, Hari Patel had seven digs, and Ronak Shah had four.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, ABINGTON 0 (25-18, 27-25, 25-13)
Tyler Hondros led the Golden Hawks with 12 kills, and Sean Rodman had five aces.
For the Ghosts, Jay Bynum (seven kills, four blocks) and Jack Steinman (four kills, five blocks) led the way at the net. Defensively, TJ Dougherty had 17 digs, and setter Alex Peres had 17 assists.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 0 (25-8, 25-12, 25-21)
Jason Yakimiv (eight kills, six digs, one block), Sean Helmlinger (six kills), Eric Van Thuyne (five kills, three digs, one block, one ace), Will Desautelle (four kills, four digs) and Will Hewitt (three kills) all contributed to a balanced Indian attack. Robby Ward (17 assists, six aces, one dig, one block, one kill) and Logan Fuglestad (eight assists, nine aces, five digs) split the setting duties. Defensively, Alex Saraceno (five digs), Aaron Knotts (three digs) and Justin Walton (two digs) all contributed.

QUAKERTOWN 3, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 1 (25-21, 25-20, 14-25, 25-23)
Zach Dierolf had a huge night for the Panthers, finishing with 18 kills, two blocks and seven digs. Josh Moyer added 11 kills and nine blocks in a strong outing. Graham Wilson (three kills, four blocks), Kevin Steich (four kills, two blocks) and Justin Flor (four kills) also contributed at the net. Setter Drew Stout had 35 assists. Zac Mahler led the defense with 16 digs, and Kevin Finlayson added five.

EMMAUS 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-22)
Emmaus earned a sweep of Tuesday night’s match against the visiting Indians.
“We didn’t respond well tonight to Emmaus’s attackers,” coach Dave Stastny said. “Give Emmaus credit. They outplayed us. This was a team loss – we need to regroup.”
