SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (4-8-19)

Non-league
WILLIAM TENNENT 3, DOCK MENNONITE ACADEMY 2
The visiting Panthers opened up a 2-1 lead and then fought off the Pioneers in a tightly contested non-league match.
For the Panthers, Bohdan Tkachov turned in a huge performance at the net, finishing with 21 kills and four blocks to go along with nine digs. Tyler Yannuzzi added four kills and five blocks. Caleb McClaren  contributed 11 digs, five kills and one ace while Connor Berndlmaier had six kills, one ace, 12 digs and three blocks. Mike Carr had four kills and one block.

ABINGTON 3, UNIONVILLE 2 (25-12, 23-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-6)
Abington earned a five-set win over the visiting Indians. The Ghosts were led by the monster 30-kill effort of Danny Gonzalez. Juan Perez added eight kills while setter Kenny Wasekanes had seven kills. Setter Taulant Kurti dished out 44 assists. Sean Dougherty led the defense with 36 digs, and the Ghosts combined for eight blocks.
Abington will take on Bensalem Tuesday.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, LA SALLE 0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-23)
The Indians earned a sweep of the visiting Explorers.
Nick Desautelle led the Indians with 16 kills, 12 digs, two blocks and one ace. Sean D’Arcy added 14 kills and 10 digs to go along with two aces. Justin Burns had 14 kills and 12 digs as well as one ace and one block. Setter Vytis Duncia had 37 assists, five digs and three service aces.

LIBERTY 3, SOUDERTON 1
The Indians dropped a non-league match to Liberty.
Aidan Wunderly led the Indians with 14 kills, six digs and three blocks while Jimmy Wert added eight kills and 11 digs. Jake Alderfer had six kills and two blocks, and setter Luke Pagan had 37 assists and three aces.
