SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (5-1-14)

NESHAMINY 3, PARKLAND 1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-22, 25-15)
The Redskins (13-0) kept their perfect record intact with a non-league win over Parkland. Setter Chase Fullen had a busy night, contributing 45 assists, six kills and four blocks. Ryan Jamison once again controlled play at the net with 21 kills and five blocks to go along with eight digs. Jake Murray (10 kills, two blocks), Stephen Compton (seven kills, 12 digs), Dan Inemer (seven kills, three blocks) and Mike Gulla (six kills) also had big nights. JP Fay led the defense with 12 digs.

NORTH PENN 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-18, 25-20, 28-26
The Knights swept the Indians in a hard-fought battle between the neighboring rivals. Kyle Sucro had 12 kills, four digs and two aces to lead the Knights at the net. Gabe Stoler (nine kills, one assist, one dig), Eric Mellman (five kills, one block, four digs) and Jake Walters (eight kills, two blocks) also contributed at the net. Setter Mark Elias had 32 assists to go along with three digs. Nate Malecky led the defense with six digs. Also making contributions were Connor Sloan (one kill, one block, two digs, one ace), Joe Grundy (one kill, one ace), Darsh Bhalodia (one kill, one block) and Pat Dallas (one dig).
For the Indians, Alex Androkites (13 kills, six digs, three blocks) and Micah Godshall (11 kills, six digs) led the way. Mitch Yerk added four kills and four blocks.

PENNRIDGE 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-14)
The Rams rolled to a sweep of the Panthers. Their balanced effort was led by Kolby Smith (eight kills, six digs, four aces, two blocks), Alex Vellner (six kills, seven digs, three aces), Vince Kauders (five kills, five blocks, two aces) and Steve Braun (three kills, seven digs, two aces). Setter Brad Nase had 26 assists and two blocks for the Rams, who are now 11-2 on the season.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-12)
Christian Rupert dominated play at the net, contributing 16 kills and four blocks. Setter Matt Hennigan had seven kills, 28 assists, three aces and four blocks in a strong all-around effort. Joel Klapper added seven kills and eight digs, and Fran Poeske had two kills and three blocks. Jackson Cox added three blocks. Ryan Alu and Jeff Strasburg both had five digs.

WILLIAM TENNENT 3, ABINGTON 0
Tim Seydel led the Ghosts with 18 assists to go along with six digs, four blocks and three aces. Matt Penecale had four kills and two blocks, and Anthony Lee added six kills. Joe Wiley led the defense with 16 digs to go along with two kills.
