SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (5-3-16)

WILLIAM TENNENT 3, ABINGTON 1
Will Towle led a balanced Panther attack with eight kills, two blocks and two aces while Brendan Carter added six kills and four blocks. Dennis Rodkey had two kills and three blocks, and Kylen Schnell added one kill and one block. Hunter Reid contributed to a strong service game with four aces to go along with one block. Jake Milnazik had a team-high five aces and 14 digs. Noah Chast had a team-high 16 digs and two aces, and Duncan McSain had one block. Matt Cauto added two digs.

PENNSBURY 3, NESHAMINY 0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-19)
Sean Sweeney (nine kills, .400, 15 assists, three digs, three blocks) and Mason Reilley (six kills, .455, three blocks) delivered effective performances at the net. James Greenland added seven kills, one assist and two digs. Kenny Hickman had five kills with a .333 hitting percentage as well as two assists, two aces, three digs and two blocks. Kevin Killoran contributed two kills, 14 assists, four digs and two blocks, and Brett Garretson had one kill, two blocks. Brad Edwards added five digs, and Anthony Rosso had three kills (.600). Charlie Bluestein contributed six digs.

SOUDERTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 1 (25-12 25-11, 24-26, 25-20)
The Indians rolled to wins in the first two sets, but the Titans battled to win the third set before the Indians closed it out in the fourth.
“The fourth set started out with good serving,” coach Dave Stastny said. “We took the lead and held on to win the match.
“A lot of players contributed offensively.”
Ian Saucy led the team with 12 digs and one ace. Setter Luke Pagan handed out 25 assists.
For the Titans, teams leaders included setter Mark Macios (two aces, two kills, one block, 10 digs, 21 assists), middle hitter Justin Koren (two aces, 14 kills, two blocks, six digs) and libero David Lulko (19 digs).

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-16)
Alex Saraceno led the Indians’ defense with 18 digs and one assist. Eric Van Thuyne (nine kills, eight digs, two assists, one ace) and Will Desautelle (seven kills, seven digs, one ace, one assist) led the Indians at the net. Jason Yakimiv added 15 digs, five kills, 1.5 blocks and one aces. Setter Logan Fuglestad had 25 assists, eight digs, two kills and .5 blocks. Also contributing were Aaron Knotts (six digs, one assist), Harry Wyatt (three kills, two digs, one ace), Sean Helmlinger (two kills, one dig), Keven D’Arcy (one kill, one dig), Justin Walton (one kill) and Will Hewitt (one kills)
For the Golden Hawks, Tyler Hondros (four kills, nine digs), Rob Reifsteck (two kills, three blocks), Rick Johnston (two kills) and Jack Geiger (two kills, two blocks) made important contributions.
