SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (5-4-18)

QUAKERTOWN 3, UPPER DUBLIN 1 (25-14, 26-24, 22-25, 25-20)
The Panthers won a hard fought match with the Flying Cardinals.
Logan Spieker had a big night for the Panthers, contributing 24 kills, 11 digs and seven aces. Cameron Cronk added nine kills. Justin Flor had three kills and three aces, and setter Zach Frei had 31 assists and two aces.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-19)
The Bucks earned a sweep in a battle of the neighboring rivals.
Eli Gibson (13 kills, 21 digs) had a huge night both at the net and defensively. Cole Nagle added 11 kills and eight digs, Austin Cervasio had seven kills and Liam Baxter added six kills. Setter Adam Klapper handed out 34 assists. Jason Miller had 10 digs.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, NORTH PENN 0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-16)
Carter Haban, Andrew Bennett, and Dylan Colbert keyed a balanced attack in the Patriots’ sweep of the Knights. Haban recorded 14 kills, eight digs, and two blocks, while Bennett tallied five kills, 11 digs and two assists, and Colbert added 11 kills, six digs and two blocks. Christian Wolf managed two digs, two blocks, and four kills. The Patriots attack was directed by Steve Storm, who dished 30 assists and picked up nine digs, two aces, a block, and three kills. Jacob LaBouliere was stellar defensively, picking up 10 digs, while Jack Miller contributed two blocks and two digs.

ABINGTON 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (27-25, 25-20, 25-19)
Abington celebrated Senior Night with a sweep of the visiting Panthers. All seven seniors played well in their final home game with TJ Dougherty having 28 assists and four digs; Peter Kryvdyuk with two blocks and a kill; Jason Lockhart had four kills, a dig and a block; Charlie Viola had nine digs and one ace; Rushi Patel had six digs; Josh Harkins had five kills, one block and one ace and Shane Collins had six kills, one block and one ace. Juniors, Juan Perez had four blocks and two kills and Jacob brand had six digs. Sophomore Danny Gonzalez had 14 kills, five digs, one block and one ace and freshman Sean Dougherty had seven digs.

PENNSBURY 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-18)
The Golden Hawks battled the Falcons tough but the Falcons prevailed, winning in three sets.
For the Golden Hawks, TJ Rodman led the defense with 13 digs. Jay Ferrara had six kills, one ace, one block and nine digs while Shane Slivinski contributed six kills, one block and seven digs. Dane Paulson added two kills, one ace, two blocks and four digs. Dylan Baptiste had three kills and five blocks, and Jake Leonard added two kills.

PENNRIDGE 3, CHELTENHAM 0
The Rams received contributions from up and down their lineup in Friday’s sweep of the Panthers.
Austin Jalosinski led the Rams with 10 kills, and Ryan Benscoter added nine. Kevin Jones had seven kills, 10 digs and two aces, and Mike Molettiere added five kills and one ace. Chris McKinney (four kills), Richie Fluck (three kills) and Jake McBride (two kills) also contributed at the net.
Setter Corey Quaste had 30 assists while Dan Detweiler had seven. Ethan Lionetti led the defense with 14 digs. Vince Olindo had seven digs and two aces, and Tommy Cassel had four digs and one ace.
Pennridge improves to 13-3 overall (12-2 SOL).
