SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (5-6-15)

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 1
Chris Woolslayer had a big night for the Patriots, contributing 14 kills, three digs, one block and one ace. Henry Mallison added six kills, four digs and one ace. Setter Mason Miller had 24 assists, two kills and two digs, and Carter Haban added seven assists. Also contributing to the winning effort were Jarred Minschwaner (two kills, one dig, one ace, one block), Shawn Malone (three kills, one block), Pierce Budson (three kills, one block, one dig, one ace), Eric Chmiel (four kills, one block), Chris Dunn (three kills) and Andrew Bennett (one kill).
For the Golden Hawks, Ross Sweed had seven kills and one block while Tyler Hondros (four kills, one ace) and Rob Reifsteick (four kills, four blocks) also were a presence at the net. Ethan Hunn (two kills) and Rob Kessel (one kill) also contributed.

ABINGTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 2, (25-19, 30-32, 26-28, 25-22, 15-10)
The Ghosts won the first set but trailed 2-1 after dropping a pair of gutwrenching marathon sets to the Titans. Undaunted, they rallied to win the last two sets to earn the hard fought win. Coming up huge at the net for the Ghosts were Jay Bynum (14 kills, 13 blocks), Matt Penecale (17 kills) and Johnny Eppinger (14 kills). Setter Tim Seydel had 46 assists in a busy night. Joe Wyllie (14 digs) and Colin Burns (six digs) led the defense.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, PENNSBURY 1 (25-22, 25-20, 15-25, 27-25)
Two days after handing William Tennent its first conference loss, the Falcons were defeated by the Indians in another classic battle between the neighboring rivals. Leading the Indians at the net were Jason Yakimiv (11 kills, four blocks, two digs, one ace), Will Stollsteimer (13 kills, 12 digs, one ace, one block), Josh Hinton (12 kills, 19 digs, one ace) and Nick Reich (six kills, two blocks). Eric Van Thuyne had a huge defensive performance, contributing 30 digs to go along with two aces and one assist. Setters Logan Fuglestad (26 assists, 16 digs, one ace) and Dalton Abrahamsen (14 assists, five digs) spent the night spreading the ball around. Will Desautelle (four kills, three blocks, two digs), Aaron Knotts (nine digs) and Sean Lyon (three kills) also made important contributions.
Leading the Falcons at the net were Josh Leon (11, kills, 15 digs, one, block), David Leavey (11 kills, one assist, 14 digs, one block), Sean Sweeney (seven kills, one assist, two aces, 14 digs, three blocks) and Mason Reilley (five kills, six blocks). Setter Kevin Killoran had 34 assists, one kill, 13 digs and two blocks.  Kenny Hickman added five kills, one ace, one dig and two blocks while Michael Geary had one ace and one dig. Brad Edwards had eight digs, three assists and one ace.

PENNRIDGE 3, NORTH PENN 0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-19)
Senior setter Bradley Nase had 32 assists and three blocks to lead the Rams to a sweep of the Knights. Max McVaugh led the defense with 12 digs. Ben Chinnici led the Rams at the net with 14 kills, six digs and three aces while Devon Rice added eight kills and 10 digs. Also contributing were Henry Savage (five kills, two blocks), Josiah Friesen (three kills, four blocks), Aaron Nelson (three kills, two blocks) and Jon Long (two kills, three blocks).

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, CHELTENHAM 0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-15)
