SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (5-9-17)

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, NORTH PENN 1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-23, 25-18)
The Knights and Bucks were deadlock at one set apiece, but the Bucks closed in out with a pair of wins.
For the Knights, Saavan Boghara had nine kills and three blocks, Kishan Davara added eight kills and eight blocks, and Isaac Lambert had seven kills and one dig. Setter Ryan Ko had 26 assists, three digs and three blocks. Manan Patel led the defense with 11 digs.

ABINGTON 3, CHELTENHAM 0
Daniel Gonzalez had a big night at the net for the Ghosts, delivering 16 kills to go along with seven assists and seven digs. Cole Santora had five kills, four aces, one block and two digs, and Gary Massey had six kills and three blocks. TJ Dougherty led the defense with 11 digs, and setter Roni Fishbein had 22 assists and three blocks.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, LA SALLE 2 (28-26, 19-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-7)
The Titans defeated the Explorers in a tightly-contested match.
“This match was back and forth the whole way,” South coach Matt Ehlers said. “We’ve become familiar with this type of match this season and were able to come out on top tonight.
“Our setter had a busy night with 38 assists to go along with six blocks, one kill and seven digs.”
Senior Justin Koren also had a huge night with 21 kills, seven blocks, eight digs and seven aces. Libero David Lulko led the defense with 14 digs and also added two assists and an ace.

AVON GROVE 3, NESHAMINY 0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-22)
In Tuesday’s non-league loss to Avon Grove, Tommy Edwards (12 kills, one block) and Shaun Key (nine kills, two digs, one block and two aces) led the ‘Skins at the net. Anthony Verrecchio had five kills and one ace, and Ben McGonagle added two kills. Tim Stressman had one kill and one block. Setter Miguel Montalvo had 20 assists and one kill. Steve Reich had a pair of digs.
