Boys
UPPER DUBLIN 19, SPRINGFIELD (MONTCO) 9
Michael Mullen exploded for nine goals and also had one assist to lead the Flying Cardinals. Michael Sowers had a hand in six goals, contributing three goals and three assists. Evan Scott had two goals and one assist, and Connor Wall had one goal and one assist. Adding single goals were Jack Rapine, Ryan Siwinski and Tyler Fortune. Zach Hansen had one assist.
For the Spartans, Ryan Donofry, Brendan Doyle and Jamie Dougherty each had two goals. Donofry also had an assist. Jack Guzzard (one assist), Malik Ball and Jeffrey Myers each had one goal, and Ben Whity had an assist.
Upper Dublin goalies Bobby McPeake (six saves) and Sean Bowers (three saves) combined for nine saves. Colin O’Hara turned away 15 shots for the Spartans.

Doylestown, PA: Central Bucks South beat Central Bucks West 10-3 in Suburban One Continental Conference Boys lacrosse action on Wednesday night at War Memorial Field. In typical fashion, the crosstown rivals kept the game close into the second half with the Bucks Kevin Ernst scoring at the 8:22 mark in the third quarter to make it a one-goal game with the Titans holding a 4-3 lead. Central Bucks South then went on a tear, scoring six unanswered goals while playing shutdown defense in the game’s final 20 minutes.
The Titans’ balanced offense saw seven players break into the scoring column, led by Chris Tanner’s four goals. The Titans were without two starters on defense, but Bobby DiBrino and Jake Lautt stepped up and along with fellow long poles Kevin Witchey and Kevin Uzelac, stymied the potent Bucks offense, which had scored 35 goals in their previous three games. Midfielders AJ Caputo (1 goal, 1 assist), Nick Schreiber (1 goal), Jake Henze (1 assist) and LSM Tim “the vacuum” Ross, each scooped up four ground balls, while goalie Robbie Richick finished with nine saves, including some key stops. Kevin Ernst led the Bucks with a pair of goals.
With the win, the Titans improve to 5-2 (3-1 SOL Continental), while the Bucks drop to 4-3 (2-2 SOL).

The Ghosts won a non-league thriller on Wednesday, edging the Firebirds by one goal. Junior Hunter Jones (two goals, three assists) and Will Dulin (two goals, two assists) led a balanced Abington attack. Brian Gallagher and Cameron Leech each added a pair of goals.
Blake Friedman was credited with eight saves in goal. Cameron Clearfield had four ground balls while teammates Christian Werner and Pat McCormick each had three.
Girls
HATBORO-HORSHAM 19, UPPER MERION 9
Nine players scored goals for the Hatters in Wednesday’s SOL opener. Rachel Rausa led the way with five goals and one assist, and Maria Guerra added four goals. Katie McKay contributed the hat trick to go along with two assists, Sydney Rausa had two goals and one assist while Casey Swezey had one goal and two assists. Adding one goal and one assist were Annette Desipio, Colby Eldridge and Carly Daley. Kaitlyn Wallace had one goal.
Defensively, the Hatters were led by the strong effort of Jane Henry, who had three ground balls, one caused turnover and one draw control.
For the Vikings, Haley O’Malley, Julia Reinert and Liz Botto each had two goals. O’Malley also had an assist. Krysta Zadroga and Francesca Lindelow each had one goal.
The Hatters are 5-4 on the season (1-0 SOL) while the Vikings (3-1, 0-1) suffered their first loss of the season.

NORTH PENN 18, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 8
The Maidens received big performances from Sydney Lear (four goals, five draw controls), Kaitlin Suzuki (five goals, one assist), Julianna Hill (seven goals, one assist) and Emily Schulze (one goal, four assists). Chloe Novak added a single goal while Jen Delongis and Leah Brown both contributed an assist. Sophomore goalie Michelle Dyck was credited with six saves for the Maidens (3-3).
SPRING-FORD 11, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 7
The Patriots didn’t win Wednesday’s non-league game against the Rams, but coach Kelly White was pleased with her team’s performance on the heels of Monday night’s 11-2 loss to Council Rock North.
“My defense played amazingly tonight,” the first-year coach said. “Alana (Rivas) had 23 saves with 34 shots.
“Alex Law was a leader on defense, and Taylor Sequine, Julia Adams and Sara Donnelly did a great job in front of her.”
Maggie Stella led the Patriots attack with four goals. Betty Wesney, Michaela Daley and Julia Norek each added single goals. Lauren Burrell had a pair of assists for the Patriots (5-3).
PENNRIDGE 13, CHELTENHAM 8
Pennridge goalie Carley Wingate turned away 23 shots in a busy night, and Allison Fugate scored three goals and contributed an assist to lead a balanced attack in the Rams' non-league win. Sam Ryder added two goals and two assists, and Maddie Maher had two goals and one assist. Maddie Dachowski and Devan Rimmer each had one goal and one assist while Jordan Rimmer, Jenna Dominic and Jess Csaszar each added single goals. Aimee Beck had one assist.
Defensively, Maher led the way for the Rams with five caused turnovers while Devan Rimmer and Leah Hilton each had three. Megan Krotowski had two caused turnovers for the Rams, who improved to 3-2. The Panthers are 1-4 overall.
