Panther Harriers advance to Districts

The Quakertown Community High School Cross Country team concluded their season on Friday with an impressive showing at the Suburban One League Liberty Division, advancing two of their athletes to this week's PIAA District 1 Championships. Senior Rylie Murphy (21:56.9), a season best, led the way for the Lady Panthers, placing 15th overall, followed by Junior SARA NOURI (23:02.0), 21st overall, & Senior Paige Daugherty (23.16.1), 23rd overall. However, they placed sixth as a team, losing in a tie-breaker (sixth man) to Plymouth Whitemarsh, scoring 135 points.

The Panther boys were once again, led by junior John Juszynski (16:57.3), a personal best, seventh overall, followed by junior David Pyfer (17:35.4), 14th overall. The boys to place fifth overall, narrowly missing fourth place by eight points, scoring 125 points.

Both Rylie Murphy and John Juszynski will compete this week in the PIAA District 1 Champions, at Tyler State Park, Newton PA.
